Hey,
recently, several bug reports were filled for an internal FATE feature request
and assigned to the respective maintainer or bug owner of the affected
packages. So, since when Bugzilla is used for feature requests - especially
for internal ones that weren't discussed in the openSUSE community?
I'm an external package maintainer and I'm utterly confused that someone
internal tells me to implement internal features requests without asking me
first whether I'm willing to do so!

Hi!
Since I am in the Board I have met many people and made many good
friends, as well as gotten a better overview of how things in openSUSE
work. However, because of personal reasons, I do not have the time
anymore to carry out the tasks of the openSUSE Board with the
dedication they deserve to be done properly. Consequently, I think
that it is fair that I step down and allow someone else to take my
place. It seems to me that the best moment to do this is in the next
elections, so that the person who substitutes me is elected by the
community. That means that there will be 3 seats to be elected instead
of 2 in the next elections. I hope that there are plenty of people
running for the elections! :) To motivate those who may be considering
running for the board, here is a list of things that the board could
do / continue doing / help with that I personally found important in
the last months:
- Transparency on how the Board works: Continue writing the meeting
minutes, keep documentation about the board in the Wiki updated,
making votes public, etc.
- Transparency on how openSUSE works: economical transparency, ensure
that the documentation about openSUSE in the Wiki is updated (for
example the membership rules and the information about communication
channels), etc.
- Continue supporting our communities all around the world with events
like the openSUSE.Asia Summit (this includes but is not restricted to
economical support).
- Promote and facilitate that openSUSE encourages and helps newcomers:
support mentoring programs, keep documented and accessible the places
to ask for help, etc.
Last but not least, I would like to thank everyone who supported me
during this time.
Regards,
Ana
