Hello,
I just read description of 'Registration' of #oSC17
The line says =
We only ask you to register yourself until Sunday, May 28. 2017
so we can plan for the right amount of people.
Conference ends on 28 May.
Last registration date is 28th May only or it should be somewhere
between 2nd or 3rd week of May? :-)
Regards,
Amey.

Hello Doug,
I have raised 'visa letter request' today.
This year, 3~4 openSUSE/SUSE/SAP system admins & 1 openSUSE woman user
from my city are attending #oSC17
You will get visa letter requests from them this week just FYI :-)
They have booked their flight tickets already with my guidance.
Also have registered for the conference.
All of us met at REDHAT conference in my city & realized we all are
openSUSE users & SUSE system admins ;-) [ Due to my oSC16 t-shirt &
openSUSE carry bag they approached me ^_^ ]
Thanks & Regards,
Amey.

If you plan on attending oSC17 from a non-EU country, please be sure to review http://www.auswaertiges-amt.de/EN/EinreiseUndAufenthalt/StaatenlisteVisumpf… to see if you are coming from a countries that requires a visa.

Good evening and happy new year,
as a new year just started, it is also time to prepare for another round
of Google Summer of Code.
The organization application period is approaching fast:
19.01.2017 - 09.02.2017
Since last year we collect all our GSoC projects in this repository:
https://github.com/openSUSE/mentoring/issues
Meanwhile I closed all projects from last year, if you submitted one and
it is still valid, please open a new issue and just copy over and/or update!
If you have a new project for this year, please also open ASAP a new
issue for each project and label it accordingly:
More information about being a mentor and submitting mentoring projects
you can find on our openSUSE 101 page (http://101.opensuse.org/) or the
official Google page (https://developers.google.com/open-source/gsoc/).
If you have questions, please feel free to contact me!
GSoC was in the past a great opportunity to recruit new people for the
openSUSE project and it is great experience to teach young developers
the power of Open Source! We hope to get a lot of support from you!
Thanks
Christian Bruckmayer
