[opensuse-project] Announcing Candidacy for openSUSE Community Board

I'll make this short and simple: I am officially announcing my candidcay for Board Member of the openSUSE Community Board. Beginning later this week, and continuing on through the campaign season, I will post articles here providing who I am, my present role in the community, my platform for how I believe the new Board should evolve, and additional musings on community actions and development. Those of you who know me, know that I am passionate about the community. There are many others here who are equally as passionate, and I look forward to seeing more candidates competing for Board positions. This campaign period should provide us all with an opportunity to participate in a spirited debate and from that, new ideas and efforts shall spring from the community as a whole. [opensuse-project] Cannot access two internal nets with SuSeFirewall2

Hi all, My server with Opensuse 11.0 has 3 network adapters, eth3 as external interface (public IP), eth0 (172.26.0.1) and eth2 (192.168.1.1) as internal. I am trying to link the two internal nets (172.26.x.x and 192.168.1.x) so users from both networks can use the printers in both nets. My SuSeFirewall2 config is as follow: - FW_DEV_EXT="any eth3" - FW_DEV_INT="eth0 eth2" - FW_ROUTE="yes" - FW_MASQUERADE="yes" - FW_MASQ_DEV="zone:ext zone:int" - FW_MASQ_NETS="172.26.0.0/16,192.168.1.0/24 192.168.1.0/24,172.26.0.0/16 192.168.1.0/24 172.26.0.0/16" - FW_PROTECT_FROM_INT="no" From network 172.26.x.x I can ping up to eth2 but no futher, and the same with network 192.168.2.x My Google searches have not shown any result. What do I miss in my configuration ? [opensuse-project] Idea about improving SUSE Installer

The Idea is: In opensuse 10.3 Installer we had really good package selection tree. But I found that Installer of 11.0 has quite poor tree comparing to 10.3. Here are examples: In 10.3 (no icons, just text): Hardware ->Printer-> Packages for Printer or Mutimedia ->Audio -> Video In 11.0: (big icons less text and big groups): Mutimedia -> All Mutimedia Packages System -> All System Packages So my idea is make Installer of 11.1 with tree from 10.3.
