ATM, I'm merging the update-dektop-files. As usual, it's better to
translate or fix strings upstream where openSUSE is not the upstream
developer (gnome, kde, etc.). Translating yast and similar things is
ok, of course.
This is because I'll merge with upstream packages some more times before
we release 12.2.

Hello,
I'm translating kdump and I found out the word
_append_
Do I translate it or leave it like this?
What the _ mean?

Hi,
I'm trying again the lokalize program (4.7.4-3.6.3.x86_64). The ability to
see the previous string and the modifications compared with the current
string is very nice.
However... I sorely miss the validation checks that kbabel does. It forces
me to edit with lokalize, save, then load in kbabel and verify.
Yes, of course, I could verify with my own scripts, but kbabel places the
editor automatically on each wrong string and shift-pgdn positions me on
the next.
Any idea if/when the lokalize team plan to add that feature?

Hello guys and gals,
I have not commited any translations since Berlioz. So how do I get commit
rights to the new translation repos?
Cheers

Hi,
I'm having a go at several yast files, and I find one curious thing: many
of the the strings that have been modified, has been to remove the
"please" in the sentences. And in several files.
Some rule has been defined where "please" is not nice anymore? >;-)

By now, 12.1 translations are mostly done. Thanks to all of you for
this!
As usual, we can now think about wanted online translation updates. The
first, I'd like to schedule for the technical release notes
(RELEASE-NOTES-openSUSE). I just updated the pot file and would like to
publish this end of next week (2011-11-25)..

As discussed some time ago, Berlios will switch off the SVN service by
the end of the year and thus we must move.
I proposed to our SVN experts to start the move on 2011-11-29. This
means, Berlios will be switched to a read-only state and we will start
copying the files with all the history and revisions to opensuse.org.
This will probably take some days.
Do you have any concerns about the timing and the procedure? For
openSUSE, we still have the possibility to finish the currect release
notes and do other online updates, if needed. For SLE 11 SP2, we can
prepare the RC2 release as planned.
ATM, I do not know how we can preserve the accounts or the account
names. Stay tuned...

Hi all,
I'm looking for help with translating an article about OBS, written by Helen
South. SUSE marketing really liked the article and they told me they can
help me get it in magazines in a large number of countries if we can get it
translated. The languages I will need are:
simple chinese
japanses
spanish
french
german
dutch
Below is a link to the document, mail it to me once you're done. If we get
this done during next week I can get this to the press agencies in time.
Thanks in advance!
