Hallo, denke nicht, dass das das Problem ist. Über kisdn hab ich es auch mal mit arcor versucht, gleiches Ergebnis. Aber sicher sein kann man natürlich nicht... But I didn't change a thing, my provider didn't either, and the hardware still works very well under Win95. Anyone got any ideas ? That would be great ! Module werden geladen, die Karte wird von yast erkannt und der Test ("Starten" unter isdn Konfiguration) verläuft auch erfolgreich. Hallo ! Ich habe folgendes Problem: noch vor einem halben Jahr habe ich alle meine Internetsachen wie www oder eMail mit SuSE Linux 7.0 abgewickelt. Von einer Minute zur nächsten ging aber plötzlich nichts mehr, kein ping nach draussen (IPs werden nicht gefunden, bei Namen passiert gar nichts), keine Netzverbindung ins www, keine Mails abholen via fetchmail; Fehler: network not available. Der Witz dabei ist, dass ich nichts geändert habe, und dass die Hardware noch einwandfrei funktioniert (unter Windows95). As you can see on normal S0 are only the 4 middle pins of a 8 pin RJ45 are used, one pair is 4/5 for TX (from NTBA to TE) and one 3/6 for RX. It is important that all TE connect 3 to 3 4 to 4 5 to 5 6 to 6. If a cable is wrong (cross 4/5 for example) it seems to work, but only one TE at the same time. if you put the two plugs of the cable side by side, the colors of the wires should match. Problems with 2 ISDN cards in 2 machines on network

Hi all, maybe a bit off topic, but I'll take my chances. I have a network where there is a SuSE 7.1 file server, a SuSE7.0 firewall/gateway. I'm using ADSL for my internet connection through the gateway. The fileserver also has an old Teles 16.3 ISDN card installed which, since ADSL, only takes care of my telephone answering machine (vbox) and logging. And I have a Win98 system that I use for developping for customers. The Win98 also has a (newer) Dynalink ISDN card. This is used mainly to be able to connect to one of my major customers server. My complete network config can be found on: http://www.jota.nl/netwsch.htm (graphical) and http://www.jota.nl/jota.htm (text) A few weeks ago I reinstalled/configured the Win98 system. And now for some reason I can't get it's ISDN card to work if the Fileserver is also connected to the ISDN line. When I unhook the fileservers ISDN card (and reboot) everything is fine. In Win98 the Dynalink Linetester keeps giving Errors on different channels when both are hooked up, so I suppose there is some kind of interference. Could it be a faulty card? Can anybody point me to a direction where I might find the answer to the problem? I never had this problem before. Both cards and both machines have always been working when both were connected.
