Hi, Karl and all other local translators: Please watch bug 801311: https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=801311 (There's also a software bug in it and has been assigned, so I can't assign it to Karl at the same time) Our yast/50-pot/gtk.pot is now only 48 strings, comparing to 321 strings in qt-pkg.pot Some former commit before 12.3 destroyed all strings for the GTK interface. (ViewVC is currently broken, so I can't tell which commit) So we may have to re-do the work for a big update. Just reserve some time in your schedule, or your locale will be broken for the entire 12.3 life cycle! [opensuse-translation] new volunteers for Translation Coordinators

Dear Translators some weeks ago I wrote a mail to all Translation Coordinators with a valid mail address that you all can translate, because our new release Leap 42.2 will come soon. I have got some answers and you can see some activity on Weblate: https://l10n.opensuse.org/languages/ But you can see that some languages haven't got any activity. They are all languages without mail address or the Coordinator hasn't given any feedback. That's the reason why I am writing to you now. ;-) Haven't you got any mail by your Language Coordinator and do you want to bring all translations for your language forward? You can become a Translation Coordinator for your country then. Update your language on https://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:Localization_team and answer to this mail that you want to pick up this role for your language. I'll write it down then. Look that your mail address is in your openSUSE profile or a mailing list address is valid, that new interested Contributors can write to you. I would be happy about (additional) Translation Coordinators for all important languages. Thanks! [opensuse-translation] yast LCN trunk decommissioned

Hi. Yast LCN SVN is now completely decommissioned in the trunk branch. All po and pot files were deleted and all changes that were done in last two months were merged to GitHub and imported to Weblate. Hopefully that there were no conflicting translations found (i. e. no different changes). No part of the work should be lost, independently on repository used. From now on, only Weblate can be used for yast translation in Tumbleweed. Enjoy https://l10n.opensuse.org/ To be done: Import of strings from SLE12 SP2 into Weblate is planned as well. These translations were created in past by contracted translators, but they were never merged back to openSUSE. Strings will be imported to Weblate as suggestions for the master branch. All these translations will be imported as string suggested by "SLE Merge Robot". Users then could review them, merge, reject, join and edit. Note that SLE12 SP2 translations that were missing in the master/trunk branch were added to existing community translations. [opensuse-translation] yast2 translations in weblate

Hi, Some of you have already noticed, thanks to the hard work of Stanislav we finally have yast translations in weblate! Just one important piece is missing, yast2 trans needs to be adjusted to use a _service file and get translations from git. From the old svn 50-tools/y2-message-count.sh needs to be ported and called in the spec file to generate the statistics. [opensuse-translation] How to confirm in bulk the unchanged translation status?

In the yast_timezone module I have a lot of names of countries that do not need to be changed. I could not find in Weblate a method to confirm that the remaining 320 names do not need to be changed. [opensuse-translation] SVN and Weblate

Hello, This week I have been working on Yast in SVN and it is now again 100 % translated, but today I have found mostly the same changes now on Weblate, the same strings that I have just translated and reviewed, and when I try to upload the already translated po file from SVN to Weblate I get this error: "File content merge failed: Plural forms do not match the language." Will I have to do them again? Any advice? Hello, I see that there is note under yast-slide-show "SLE12 SP2 translation round started. Arabic, Brazilian Portuguese, Chinese Simplified, Chinese Traditional, Czech, Dutch, French, German, Hungarian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Russian, Spanish and Swedish translations in this project are edited by contracted translators and editing and locked for other. Others are able to read and make suggestions only. Due to missing Weblate features, master branch was locked as well. If possible, please postpone your edits in master branch until the unlock happens." By the way Slovak language is not blocked.
