Hi there,
I have spent few months to test some tools which could help in my l10n works.
It was not an easy process and I have found out there is no ultimate
free/open source tool for professionals.
But my 2nd goal was to involve more and more people to localization
works and this is not too easy.
Newcomers should be familiar several things (svn, po, merge, setup an
environment for translation... you know)... so not just translation.
Long story short. I have set up a pootle server and move the openSUSE
translation there to find out how can I work with it and how can I
activate the Hungarian community to find errors, typos or translate if
they have no more but 15 minutes a day.
Maybe you would like to test your language community too or you would
like to test the pootle itself.
In that case just drop me a mail and I am more than happy to set up
your language.
If you are a professional translator, this is not for you, because you
already have daily routine, tools and tricks.
Be aware this is a test server, test process but I will do my best to
run it smoothly.
and there server is: http://pootle.npsh.hu
cheers
kalman
