[opensuse] Shutdown / Boot / Reiserfs / journal replay

I really don't remember this doing this but, every time I reboot, the reiserfs has to replay the journals. I thought on shutdown the fs cleans itself up (or ? commits everything to disk) ? Even after a fsck it still does the journal replay on reboot. Hi, here is the log. I did an update last evening and today the computer is no longer having the problem with the Nepomux Stub on startup. It has been doing it for about the last three weeks, and I had not written to the list thinking that eventually an update would fix the problem. [opensuse] How can I enable special X11 key bindings?

For developing and debugging purposes I'd like to enable some special keyboard options. Especially I need "UnGrab" (Ungrab cancels server/keyboard/pointer grabs) option. This option is bind to CTRL-Alt-KP_Divide (keypad device key) in /usr/share/X11/xkb/compat/xfree86 /usr/share/X11/xkb/symbols/ir /usr/share/X11/xkb/symbols/keypad /usr/share/X11/xkb/symbols/srvr_ctrl Does anyone know, how I can enable this key binding? Whenever I open gedit, it opens an empty file: ie if I open it by itself, I get 1 open file (*Unsaved Document 1), but also if I open a specific existing file, when I open it, I also get an additional extra empty file. This is not the most annoying part, because when you go to exit gedit, it will prompt you to save (or otherwise) all your empty/open files... Have searched for this, and the only sort-of fix I have found is to run it with a script... Surely there is something a bit simpler? I would have thought an option in preferences, but apparently not. [opensuse] Epson v330 scanner

In searching for a new scanner to replace my old one that is now defunct, I have become interested in the Epson V330. This scanner is unsupported by XSane, but Epson has a driver for it. It also has a GUI for this driver, but this GUI is said to support only black and white scanning. My question is if I install this driver, will XSane be able to see it and make use of it? [opensuse] Nepomuk stub x6

Hi, when I boot up my desktop computer with opensuse 12.1 and KDE 4.8.0 (4.8.0 "release 2", I always get a message saying Nepomuk stub has crashed. If I try to restart the application, or just close the message, I have to restart/close it 6 times before the message goes away for good. It doesn't seem to be a time dependant thing, like I am need to wait an equivalent time required to close the application 6 times and then just close it once. I have to close it six times, then the notification goes away and the computer works like normal. I tried to google to see if there was anything about this, but I didn't find anything pertinent. [opensuse] What's the story with ExFAT?

I needed to have a external drive that I could easily move from Win7, Mac OS 10.7, and openSUSE. I preferred it not to have the 2GB limit that vfat has. I know ExFAT is supported on the Mac and on Win7, so I went with it. To my surprise, both the Mac and Win7 have no issue, but at least a vanilla opensuse 12.1 won't mount it! Is there something I can install, or hax linux fallen behind in this area?
