openSUSE Leap 15.4 KDE Plasma Version: 5.26.4 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.101.0 Qt Version: 5.15.7 Kernel Version: 5.14.21-150400.24.38-default (64-bit) VirtualBox 7.0.4. I'd been running Windows 10 as guest for several years, successful and solid. Recently upgraded to Windows 11 as guest, also successfully. Now, all of a sudden and for no reason I can account for, VBox flatly refuses to run. I can't even start it to re-install guest(s). gui program can't resolve hostname

Hello: I have an openSUSE Leap 15.1 system where the VoIP program IHU (I hear you) works.I also have another Leap 15.1 installation where the program doesn't work, it exits with error, it can't resolve any hostame. It can't resolve either localhost or any valid hostname in the network. It works if I use direct IP address. Command line tools ping and host can resolve hostnames. How could I trace what causes the error? It must be some difference in some configuration or the installed packages between the two 15.1 systems. The IHU program is:ihu-0.6.0-lp151.2.6.x86_64. No directory ownership on CIFS mount

I have some directories that seem to be missing ownership. The files within them are all attributed to an owner but some (not all) of the directories themselves have an 'empty' owner, at least when viewed within Dolphin file manager. I've already run this command, as root, from the top-level directory: > chown -R 4242:fbox_cifs media/ but this doesn't enforce user 4242 as the owner of all the directories, only the files within them. How can I correct this? I'll send more detail if necessary but maybe there's a simple solution without me having to post several more paragraphs. gumb

Good deal, That makes sense. The old "mysql" extension was deprecated long ago moving to "mysqli" and more predominantly "pdo_mysql" now. I am not familiar with "mysqlnd". All extensions provide the same functionality as far as providing access to your databases -- they just do it differently. I've used mysqli and pdo_mysql and between the two have found mysqli closer to the old mysql, but also found I prefer the pdo_mysql interface a bit more. Hello, OpenSUSE Leap 15.4 PHP 8.0.10, I needed to upgrade to PHP 8 becuase on my wordpress sites I needed php 7.2.30 or greater. PHP 7.4.25 is was installed. In my /etc/php7/apache2/php.ini files I had extension=mysqli extension=pdo_mysql All my wordpress sites worked and phpinfo displayed mysqli Sadly after upgrading to PHP 8 It isn't found. [oS-EN] Trying to listen to internet radio stations

Hi, I am trying "gradio", a gtk based app to listen to internet radio. But it doesn't have a list of stations! It is impossible to listen to anything. I install "girl", a gnome radio program. It has a map of the world to click on which country you want to see stations, but it doesn't react. It has a button named "internet radio stations" which pops a long list of stations, unsorted, apparently from all over the world. There is no search thing to search by a name. Then I installed "radiotray-ng". It has a list sorted by categories, none from Spain that I can see. Can you suggest some other software that actually works? -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R.
