[oS-en] Machine doesn't hibernate.

In BIOS config there is an option that says: Sleep State: Windows and Linux vs Linux S3 hibernation I left at default, the first option. Maybe I can try the second option. Trying [...] Power led flashes fast for some seconds, then stays on constantly. The red led on the back stays red. The screen stays black. I wait. I think nothing happens. Machine doesn't react to ping, nor keyboard. I have to press and hold the power button for 4 seconds, then press for power up and fresh full boot. Ideas? I don't have log for previous boot, journal was not persistent. Changing that :-( Behaviour for sleep has changed. Now to wake up from suspend to ram I have to press the power on button, the keyboard is ignored. Oh, at some moment the Caps Lock led became permanently "on" now. Maybe "init 1" did that? Or coming back from sleep? It seems I have to reboot to try to hibernate and have some log, but too many problems to keep using this "Linux S3" mode. Will revert after testing once more. Hi, on my new laptop (Lenovo L14 gen 3) I can not see the WiFi. There are also times when modules are loaded unnecessarily. I think even the 2.2 series kernel had more than four or five modules :-) Much will depend on what you do with your Linux systems, how many you have and how varied they are. I have been in most of them. No, I have totally missed that. I thought you were talking about having to create initrds manually. leap 15.5 install - keyboard question

I'm just starting a test installation, and I used X mode by mistake - the machine had a former life and X was enabled by default (.ssh/config). In the YaST GUI (which looks really good, btw), I change locale to UK English, then keyboard to US English. It's just our normal setting, muscle memory. While YaST was doing whatever, I switched to a libreoffice document and realised the keyboard had changed. Presumably to US English. I'll wait and see if it switches back, but is this change to be expected? [oS-EN] Machine for disk encryption password happens too fast.

Hi, New machine (Lenovo L14 Gen3). Full disk encryption using discrete partitions with the same password ("/", "/home", swap). On boot, the Lenovo logo flashes instantly and the prompt for the disk encryption key pops fast. At this point, ctr-alt-del is ignored. There is no time nor message to press F1 for bios config or F12 for boot menu. I have to press and hold the power button for 4 seconds to power off, then power up again, and start pressing F1 or F12 fast, so that it is read. Slow pressing doesn't work.
