I got Tumbleweed Snapshot20210115 and wanted to install it on a rather old machine with a
software raid1 (UEFI raid).
On this raid some Windows 10 is already existing.
The installer of Tumbleweed Snapshot20210115 does not recognize this software raid1.
It only shows single harddiscs and no raid volume.
An older snapshot 20190704 is able to see that software raid1 but I cannot do any zypper
dup with that one
(this version was running previously before some hardware crash).
Any help for that - either a snapshot which can handle software raid1 or some way to set
zypper dup running again
with the older snapshot?
BR and thanks in advance
I use Seamonkey for email and I've noticed it's sometimes very sluggish
when I press a key or move the mouse. It someties takes several seconds
to respond. If I kill & restart it, it works OK for a while. Other
apps don't seem to have the problem.
Anyone else seen this?
Running on Leap 15.3 & KDE
I used to be able to access the windows partition and read/write to it.
I have a very new win 10 version--
OS build 19041.1165 with experience pack 120.2212.3530.0. I have turned
off the hibernate, as far
as I can tell, but I still cannot access Windows. What am I dong wrong,
or has MS "fixed" it?
Hi, all --
I have a desktop with KDE, and over in the closet I have a server.
Conveniently, when I run
in my xterm running an ssh session to the server, I get the YaST GUI up
on my desktop screen; yay. But ...
Is there a way to run the 1-click install remotely in much the same
fashion? If I click on my desktop workstation, of course, it tries to
install here, but I want it there. Can I download the 1-click content
and run YaST on it, maybe?
TIA & HAND

That is true, I have one tv tuner, brand new, that doesn't do exfat :-(
However, the exfat support in Linux I think is better than ntfs. It is
documented by M$, maybe even opened.

For travel I prefer SSD, more robust to vibrations.

I need to use VMware Remote Console in 15.3 with KDE with users that don't
hold root password.
Currently kdesu asks for the root password while launching it, if I cancel
the prompt it starts fine so I assume it's related to optional features
like USB devices access.
The users accessing this machine cannot be given root, I can setup sudo at
most if needed. Reading around found some references to polkit (I'm
clueless about it) and changing the "elevation" method for kdesu from su to
sudo in a user profile (I need it system wide).
Can anyone provide some guidance on the best way to solve this?

Here is my problem (apart from the printer freeze):
If I restart (switch off and on) the printer, the print job is waiting

would expect that
after restarting the printer the print job is printed immediately.
How could I achieve that?

I am still using Leap 15.2 due to all the negative messages about 15.3.
However, currently Thunderbird under 15.2 is now so old, that it won't
work anymore with data processed under Tumbleweed (they used to share
the same data directory - just to avoid double the data and maintenance
Has anybody experience with this setup using leap 15.3 and Tumbleweed?

Hello - Dunno if anyone cares to pay attention to a small detail but the
sha256 checksum file at
references the wrong file. It is a small fix, just change the name to
include the "Current" in the reference name since that is in the name of
the associated iso download file. I didn't check but it might be wise
to check other checksum files as well.

After updating to Leap 15.3, some videos stopped working. For example I
can no longer play videos from CNN in Firefox, Seamonkey or Chromium,
though I can in Edge. On the other hand, Youtube videos are fine. I
have looked in Software Management for both codecs and mime for any
clues, but nothing. Packman repository is enabled. This is with KDE.
