Dear my friends, I want to install asterisk gui for my PC Desktop based PABX with OpenVOX interface card. I have installed asterisk and asterisk-gui with YaST2. I have restarted my apache2 but I still get error as I visit this url: " http://127.0.0.1:8088/asterisk/static/ ". The error is: " You tried to access the address http://127.0.0.1:8088/asterisk/static/, which is currently unavailable. ". What is my mistake. [opensuse] Updates tonight on 11.3 scrambled the kde3 desktop (diagonal checkerboard)?

Guys, Updated tonight, the updated contained a number of kde3 updates. On restart, the desktop initially displays properly, basket loads, and then it appears that the panel tries to load and causes the screen to rip diagonally. (where the display is broken into 100s of little 1/4 squares and the broken display wraps down for the top-right to the bottom left. Maybe it is ksplash that is going nuts. This is with the standard (open source) radeon driver. It is also a kde3 problem. xfce and other desktops are fine. Anybody else see this after updates in the last day or two? Using parted, I'm trying to create a 16Gb partition at the end of a 3Tb drive with 4K physical sectors - mkpart primary 5826978696s 5860533127s Starting position 5826978696s is a multiple of 8, so why is parted complaining: Warning: The resulting partition is not properly aligned for best performance. [opensuse] gtk and desktop effects

Dear List, Here is a curious problem.. I am using suse 11.3 (kde 4.4) with desktop effects. When the composizing is on, some gtk based programs don´t work at all.. xfig and inkscape are giving me hard time. In xfig, the menu icons don´t appear at all, inkscape works *very* slow if at all.. Is there some option somewhere that might fix the problem? [opensuse] custom hotkeys

Dear List, I need to simulate keystrokes using hotkeys, say, I want that CTRL+TAB launches the command "ssh myname@remoteserver" in the terminal that I am currently in. I could do it in suse 10.X, but not with 11.3 and KDE 4.X (it is impossible). Dear All I am looking to build a small beowulf cluster running openSUSE 11.4 during the summer my concept is to reclaim older pentium 4's and put the together so they are running as one. I would then like to enable LTSP and XRDP to allow thin clients to harness their power as a virtual desktop. I have found reports on how this was done using an old laptop with 128mb of ram as a thin client booting into kiwi-ltsp and openSUSE. [opensuse] openSUSE 11.3: how to save the package list on a failed install

Hi, I have finally gotten around to installing openSUSE 11.3 on a PC I have. However, I have made two complete attempts and several "fix it" attempts on the first failed attempt and have yet to get a successful install. The installs both failed with the "fetchmsttfonts" failing and resulting in a "YaST2 Error Command exited with status 5" error popup with an "OK" button on it. I am looking for some way to proceed from here without having to restart the install from scratch again and to have to select all the needed packages yet another time. More background follows. The first time thru, I saw the "OK" and clicked it before reading anything else and the installer aborted back to text mode. I tried running the install again as an upgrade install, hoping that would fix it, but, instead, first got a system that only booted to runlevel 3 and was mostly unconfigured (I could not log in at all even though I'd set a user account and a root password!). Subsequent upgrade install attempts resulted in the installer recommending the deletion of several hundred packages, increasing in number each time I ran it(!). I did another install attempt from scratch, this time using the netinstall CD and selecting the oss, non-oss, and update repos (the first install attempt had been made from the install DVD with the addition of the Addon-NonOss-BiArch and AddonLang CDs as well as the three netinstall URIs above). Again, the install failed. This time I read the entire screen and have not yet clicked the "OK" button. I logged in to the system from one of the available text mode consoles and noticed that the system is still mostly unconfigured. What should be my next move from here? Is it possible to rescue this install? If not, is there a way to obtain a copy of the package list and import it into a new, fresh install so I don't have to go thru all the packages looking for the ones I need (a time consuming and tedious process for me). I found the y2log and the zypp/history log files which contain millions of lines of status between them and which appear to contain all of the packages selected. However, I was not able to locate a simple package list anywhere. If there is not list, anyone know the required format so I could possibly format, e.g., the zypp/history log contents into a suitable file? Any help would be appreciated! [opensuse] How do I mount USB drive world writable using device notifier?

Hello - I haven't gotten an answer from the KDE mail list, so guess I will try here also.. I have an issue which is a bit annoying to work around, so would like to find a more reasonable solution. My wife and I have laptops running openSuSE 11.2 and 11.3, KDE 4.4.4 and KDE 4.5 We both use an external USB drives formatted with a FAT32 file system and often want to send pictures or other files back and forth to store on these external drives. Right now, we cannot do this directly, though we can navigate to the other's USB drive and see files on it. I use both Samba and autofs to mount file systems from each other's laptop. What we can do is to transfer files to some other directory, such as /tmp and then locally transfer the files from /tmp to the USB drive. A PITA sometimes.... It appears that the USB drive is being mounted with rw permissions for the owner only, and only r permissions for groups and others. I suspect that we need to set the permissions of the mount point to be rw for everyone? We use the KDE device notifier to handle the mounting of the USB drives, but I am unable to figure out how to change the default permissions. Internet searches reveal I am not the only one confronted with this problem, but so far I have not been able to find an openSuSE oriented solution... Any ideas?
