[opensuse] Kernel Upgrade

Greetings all! I am running the 2.6.31.14-0.6-desktop kernel on opensuse 11.2, I want to upgrade to the latest build kernel at least 2.6.35 which will probably fix my buggy DSDT table on my Toshiba L505D-GS6000. The patch for this bug should be included in all versions of the 2.6.35 kernel, I did a test boot with a Fedora 14 live CD and all functionality of the cores, throttling, fan, battery and so on were there. In the meantime I found a way to get back to my original settings. I added a 5th desktop (I typically use 4) and selected "different Activity for Each Desktop". The cashew reappeared in the corner and I could delete the offending activity. Hate to jump in here late but have you looked at using access control lists ? Not certain they will work on usb, but if you list it is fstab with the acl parameter I think it might do what you want. Dear my friends, I want to install asterisk gui for my PC Desktop based PABX with OpenVOX interface card. I have installed asterisk and asterisk-gui with YaST2. I have restarted my apache2 but I still get error as I visit this url: " http://127.0.0.1:8088/asterisk/static/ ". The error is: " You tried to access the address http://127.0.0.1:8088/asterisk/static/, which is currently unavailable. ". What is my mistake. [opensuse] Updates tonight on 11.3 scrambled the kde3 desktop (diagonal checkerboard)?

Guys, Updated tonight, the updated contained a number of kde3 updates. On restart, the desktop initially displays properly, basket loads, and then it appears that the panel tries to load and causes the screen to rip diagonally. (where the display is broken into 100s of little 1/4 squares and the broken display wraps down for the top-right to the bottom left. Maybe it is ksplash that is going nuts. This is with the standard (open source) radeon driver. It is also a kde3 problem. xfce and other desktops are fine. Anybody else see this after updates in the last day or two? Using parted, I'm trying to create a 16Gb partition at the end of a 3Tb drive with 4K physical sectors - mkpart primary 5826978696s 5860533127s Starting position 5826978696s is a multiple of 8, so why is parted complaining: Warning: The resulting partition is not properly aligned for best performance.
