Evolution just says: Error while scanning folders in "IMAP server localhost". I have no clue what the problem might be. I configure it in "receiving email" with server type "imap", server "localhost", username "cer". I tried security as none, as tls, or as ssl. None works. If I try "check for supported types", all get disabled, except "password". And this does not work. [...] Got it working, using the server name instead of localhost... go figure :-/ Well, my initial question is solved. But I wonder why "localhost" does not work. - -- Cheers, Carlos E. Hi all, How can I turn off all forms of numbering and bullets? I really really really hate it when I try to make a numbered list and the !"§$ program takes over my numbering. Thanks! [opensuse] 11.2 -> 11.3 zypper dup

I'm thinking about upgrading amachine from 11.2 to 11.3 using zypper dup. It'll be the first time I've attempted an upgrade this way. I've found http://en.opensuse.org/SDB:System_upgrade which seems pretty good. There's one question I have which it doesn't answer directly, which is how to upgrade the restricted multimedia stuff. The wiki page suggests that one would enable both the packman and libdvdcss repositories before running zypper ref & zypper dup (since it suggests enabling third-party repositories) but does that work or is there a better way? [opensuse] Kernel Upgrade

Greetings all! I am running the 2.6.31.14-0.6-desktop kernel on opensuse 11.2, I want to upgrade to the latest build kernel at least 2.6.35 which will probably fix my buggy DSDT table on my Toshiba L505D-GS6000. The patch for this bug should be included in all versions of the 2.6.35 kernel, I did a test boot with a Fedora 14 live CD and all functionality of the cores, throttling, fan, battery and so on were there. In the meantime I found a way to get back to my original settings. I added a 5th desktop (I typically use 4) and selected "different Activity for Each Desktop". The cashew reappeared in the corner and I could delete the offending activity. Hate to jump in here late but have you looked at using access control lists ? Not certain they will work on usb, but if you list it is fstab with the acl parameter I think it might do what you want.
