All,
I rarely work on html pages, but I need to update a couple.
I'm running 11.3 with KDE 4.5
Is there a html editor for it yet?
If not, will 4.6 have one?
Thanks Greg

Hmm...
Seamonkey, vim, kate and others abound. Try searching in package manager for html and it will have a few hits you can look at.

If you want WYSISYG, try KompoZer. Not heavy duty but works for me.

I tried it.
Maybe my html is too far from some spec, but it kept corrupting it. Or at least the preview would would go crazy from trivial changes like update a anchor name.
I ended up using vim.

Quanta+ still hasn't been ported to KDE 4. You can still use the KDE 3 version, it's in KDE:KDE3 in the build service, or as others have said, there are lots of capable non-KDE html editors.

Greg,
I have always had the best luck with Quanta+. Syntax highlighting and tag insertion is the best I've used. I don't know, but it seem like there was going to be a working port for KDE4 over 2 years ago. If there is no Quanta for KDE4, then kate works fine. It has most of the tag help plus the syntax highlighting is identical. My experience with the so called wysiwyg stuff is:
wysiwyg = wysi(not)wyg
It has always taken more time to sort out wysiwyg editor errors than it did to just code (or edit) the page in Quanta or kate. I know kde45 has kate albeit sloppily laid out... it works.
