[opensuse] Icons bleeding from E17 to KDE3.5

Hi, I installed Enlightenment E17 on my laptop (Toshiba Sattelite U505-S2950) which already had KDE 3.5 installed as the default desktop. There are numerous icons splattered on the E17 desktop for various logical partitions which I didn't install, they come installed by default with E17. They are a bit of a nuisance on that desktop, but what is worse, they show up on my KDE 3.5 desktop when I open it up after using the E17 Desktop Environment. Anybody know how to get rid of them, or alternatively how to move them somewhere where they can be safely out of the way on E17 and won't show up in KDE3.5? [opensuse] ssh -X didn't display YAST2 GUI

Hi, I manage to do GUI remote connection to one of my server running SLES 11 SP1 and to another running openSUSE 11.3 by using ssh -X remote-ip and then issue : yast2 but YAST running in ncurses (text mode) instead of GUI Application. I disable firewall for temporary checking but YAST (and others GUI application) could not start. is this my problem because I remote to the server twice : first remote to text mode server with public IP and then remote to the GUI server by using local IP (both with ssh -X) or do I need to do some configurationchecking. If you press apply it creates ~/.gtkrc-2.0-kde file. After logging out and in only this file is set up as GTK2_RC_FILES, and its values should be used for gtk settings. It would be good to know how GTK2_RC_FILES is set in KDE and other windows managers (GNOME, XFCE), and how could be ~/.gtkrc-2.0-kde set to this variable only in KDE and not in other window managers. There is a script, /home/lxuser/.kde/env/gtk-qt-engine.rc.sh, which should set this variable: #!/bin/bash # Make sure our customised gtkrc file is loaded. export GTK2_RC_FILES=$HOME/.gtkrc-2.0-kde How this script is expected to work? [opensuse] GTK tool ?

Hello SuSE people. Still running 11.0 with KDE3.5 while I play with 11.3. I am not that good on the cli so I like using graphical displays. I am mainly speaking of grsync here which I run as root for backups. Problem is that the menu fonts are so small I can hardly read them. I am sight impaired. I have tried to have it run using the KDE fonts but it doesn't work. Years ago there was a tool that controlled the configuration but I don't remember now or cannot find it. Anybody can point me in the right direction so I can make them readable? "Brand loyalty" aside, can they now sell off "ATI" (brand or entity) when they hit hard financial times? -- There's about as much difference between the two major party's as there is between McDonald's and Burger King fries.
