[opensuse] Raid controller suggestions

Hi all, We need a few 2 channel raid controllers that are kernel supported by OpenSUSE 10.2 / 10.3 / SLES 10 SP2. We have some 4 channel 3Ware 8506 controllers working with SLES 10 SP2; they are supported by default by SLES 10 SP2. They are not available any more. 3Ware has a 8006-2LP 2 channel Raid. Has anyone used it with SLES 10 SP2 or OpenSUSE 10.2/3? It has source according to http://www.3ware.com/support/OS-support.asp. Has anyone tried it yet? Any info will be appreciated. Has anyone got alternatives like Adaptec, or some cheaper manufacturer than 3Ware? [opensuse] Multithreading?

Hi, just want to ask if there's a list what programs in opensuse 11.0/11.1 are multithreaded, meaning "can use multiple cpu cores". Example: "make -j". Tried to find out by myself but wasn't successful. [opensuse] kmail in kde 4.2: turn off fancy grouping

Hi, Sun has just released update 12 for java 1.6. Most important change is the 64bit browser plugin. When it will available in repos? [opensuse] Replace hard drive, but still got errors, is this hd broken too ?

Friend, I got another (maybe similar) problem, I have replace my hard drive with another one, it's up and running now. But when I check the /var/log/messages, I got some errors like this. If a drive change didn't help, that might. Mike --------- Yes I have. I changed the disk and cable as well. If you change a config file (application one), yast may refuse to change it afterward (was the case a very long time ago, don't know if it's the case now), but changing sysconfig openSUSE ones can't break anything for YaST, given it reads these files to know what to do.
