I'm in a project of posting mp3 and all the files are MP3. Is there a simple mass way to rename the files from MP3 to mp3 ? [opensuse] Zimbra and OpenSUSE 11

I see Zimbra is dropping support for OpenSUSE (apparently because they logged less than 70 hits on their website for OpenSUSE downloads, seems fishy to me) So, anyone know if there is a community build somewhere - or should I start looking for a new mail solution? I posted the solution to this link forums-test.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=1010695 Scroll down to the last post in that thread, entitled "How to Modify about:config to Make the Firefox 3 "print to file" Dialog Window Default to pdf (instead of postscript) and Default to the Directory and File Name of Your Choice" One cannot get Firefox 3 to send print jobs to kprinter so this is the closest you can get to the convenience of the kprinter dialog. Not a perfect solution but better than nothing. In Response To: Hi all, I usually print to PDF's with most programmes. In all I can choose a PostScript/default Printer and enter in the Properties under Print Command "kprinter". Then kprinter takes over and prints wherever or whatever I need; in this case PDF. How can I do that in Firefox 3's menu item Print. I can no longer enter a print command. (openSUSE 10.3 / FireFox 3.0). The print to File in FireFox is nice, but you have to enter the whole path every time you print a document, and it always uses the very first document name you used as print.ps (which actually kprinter also did, but the path was remembered though). [opensuse] Postfix & header checks

Hi, I have a rule in the header-checks to check the date. If it's in the past or the far future, I reject the message. I had a complaint that an old mail could not be forwarded, the mail-client displayed my reject message : adjust your clock, your mail has a date from the past. Since the PC's clock is OK I was puzzled. When I sniffed the mail-transaction I did see the Date: header, but there was a second Date: header, from the original message. So my question is : how does postfix handle "headers" ? I presumed that after the body of the message started header checks stopped to continue with body checks. The rule I have is : /^Date: .* 200[0-8]/ REJECT Your email has a date from the past. Fix your system clock and try again. -- Met vriendelijke groeten, Koenraad Lelong

[opensuse] Network upgrade 10.3=>11.0

Am attempting to upgrade via the network from 10.3 to 11.0, and running into trouble when it starts copying files. Everything up to that is fine. I then get the following error: "Subprocess failed. Error: RPM failed: error: open of /var/cache/zypp/packages/opensuse-DVD\ failed: No such file or directory error: open of 11.0/suse/noarch/yast2-trans-en_US-2.16.9-1.1.noarch.rpm failed :No such file or directory" Have tried using both NFS and SMB. What directory are you supposed to point the install at?? But I assume it is correct, because I get this far... [opensuse] Kmail - cannot check messages after new installation

I have just reinstalled openSuSE 11.1 and kde4-kmail has the "check" button grayed. I have tried to delete the kmail folderss from .kde and .kde4 with no success. [opensuse] Panel problems

In v10.3 I had a second panel, positioned at the top of the screen, in which I had installed the icons of frequently used programs and utilities. Now in 11.1 I have put a similar second panel, but do not find a way to install applications, only widgets. Is there no way to do this? Was there an actual reason for removing that capability? The transparent folder at the upper- left of the screen is not an adequate substitute. The digital clock widget (one of the few that I find useful, also presents a problem. When I installed this release, I checked the box for setting the hardware clock on GMT. The digital clock now also shows GMT, even when I set its time zone setting to local time here, which is two hours ahead, independent of whether or not "Use local time zone" is checked. [opensuse] What Up with the X11:/XGL Repo - Where's Latest Compiz?

Listmates, This is frustrating. 2-3 weeks ago I updated a 10.3 box and the following was installed from the X11:/XGL repo: Box Updated 2-3 Weeks Ago compizconfig-settings-manager-0.7.6-2.7 compiz-emerald-0.7.6-2.6 compiz-emerald-themes-0.6.0-1.1 compiz-fusion-plugins-extra-0.7.6-10.6 compiz-fusion-plugins-main-0.7.6-3.6 libcompizconfig-0.7.6-2.7 python-compizconfig-0.7.6-2.6 I have another 10.3 box to update, so knowing everything was working OK, I did another update tonight. Now window decorations are gone in compiz, etc. Looking closely at what was installed tonight from the X11:/XGL repo, I see: Box Updated Tonight compizconfig-settings-manager-0.7.6-2.2 compiz-emerald-0.7.6-2.2 compiz-emerald-themes-0.5.2-6 compiz-fusion-plugins-extra-0.7.6-10.2 compiz-fusion-plugins-main-0.7.6-3.2 libcompizconfig-0.7.6-2.2 python-compizconfig-0.7.6-2.2 What's the deal? The updates for compiz tonight are 4-5 minor versions *behind* where they were several weeks ago. That can't be right. How does this stuff happen? I checked a couple of mirrors and it appears we have somehow gone back in time. [opensuse] chan-zap missing in rpm for asterisk16

Hi all, I had some troubles getting asterisk to work on an 10.3 system. All PRI-lines are comming up, but i discovered that chan_zap was missing. I thought it ought to be in the rpm asterisk-zaptel. But this rpm contains only two files on the kc0031 (openSUSE_11.0) asterisk-zaptel-1.4.21.2-2.8 (247.0 K) contains: /etc/asterisk/zapata.conf /usr/lib64/asterisk/modules/app_zapateller.so /usr/lib64/asterisk/modules/app_zapbarge.so /usr/lib64/asterisk/modules/app_zapras.so /usr/lib64/asterisk/modules/app_zapscan.so /usr/lib64/asterisk/modules/chan_zap.so on the kc0032 (opensuse_10.3) asterisk16-zaptel-1.6.0-33.31 (42.4 K) contains /etc/asterisk/zapata.conf /usr/lib64/asterisk/modules/app_zapateller.so Currently, i have no asterisk16 installed on a openSUSE_11.0 system, but afaics chan_zap is there also missing.
