[opensuse] Looking for that perfect compliment to hylafax -- AvantFax

List, Hylafax is a fantastic fax server included with openSuSE whether using a single modem on an old 486 or running a corporate pbx with multi-line modem attachments. One issue has always been the clients for the hylafax server in a mixed windows/linux environment and fax distribution after the fax comes in. I just stumbled across avantfax based on an earlier thread today. AvantFax is a php, mysql compliment to hylafax that has some fantastic, long looked for features. (at least looked for by me) If you deal with faxes, this is definitely worth a look. AvantFAX is open source and is released under the GNU General Public License: http://www.avantfax.com/ http://www.avantfax.com/fax-processing.php Perhaps someone that is adept with building packages for opensuse would consider packaging avantfax. Sadly slicehost do not support openSUSE. I would love to hear of any VPS hosting providers in Europe that provide up to date openSUSE VPS hosting. By up to date I mean preferably 11.0 or better. Bonus points for any providers that have an accessible API. Anyone able to feel like they can recommend a hosting provider? [opensuse] NVidia Driver for Geforce FX5500

HI I've got this board running a driver version 173.14.15 (not available on the nvidia site - latest there is 173.14.12). This driver is completely pants for KDE4, it is slow as molasses going uphill in the snow and artifacts all over the place (its finewith KDE3.5) - does anyone know if this will ever be upgraded to work with KDE4? I've tried all the other beta versions 177.x, 180.x and they all exit the install script saying that this card is not known about and wont be installed. Do ihave to upgrade my card to work with KDE4? If so, any recommendations? I'm not a gamer so i don't need any monster card. While opensuse 11.1 first running after installation got the error message listed below: Udevd 578: bind failed:address already in use Udevd 578: error binding control socket seems udevd is already running On the computer has a WIndows XP partition too, and I'd planned it to default boot partition. [opensuse] Help with bash script

Ok.. so here's my criteria: if file hasn't been modified in the last minute then while file hasn't been modified in the last minute then sleep for 59 seconds done else copy the file to another directory fi And here is the process: Script runs, launches a perl wrapper asynchronous script. This script will write a file, and I need to wait for that file to be created so I can copy it. This is ran nightly via cron.. The part I am having problems with is the sniffing for that file. So here is what I have: find /tmp/file -mmin -1 >/dev/null if [ $? -eq 0 ]; then while [ find /tmp/file -mmin -1 >/dev/null -eq 0 ]; do sleep 59 done else cp /tmp/file /somewhere fi Or am I way off track, or looking at this the wrong way? The first thing I notice is the if may be redundant. And another thing to note, the script doesn't work as is so I know i'm doing something wrong. -- I say never be complete. [opensuse] Adobe Flash Player Firefox Plugin

OpenSuSE 10.3 on AMD 64 bit CPU with Firefox 3.0.6. The Adobe Flash Player plugin is installed on the system, but Firefox can't seem to find it. The Adobe website doesn't seem to have a solution to the problem. Assistance will really be appreciated.
