I did my daily update routine today and there are lot of dependacy issues for kdebase4-runtime 4.2 I did a 4.2 1-click install a week or 2 again and have only the factory repositories a active. [opensuse] Moving the addressbook of Kontact

I installed 11.1 freshly on a separate disk, and am trying to move over the data from the 10.1 installation on the other disk. I managed feeds and mail so far. I cannot seem to find the address book though. I thought it would be .kde/share/apps/kaddressbook directory and kaddressbookrc respectively, which however don't exist. I do find kabc, which has only a few .vcf files in it. What is the application called exactly, so I can find the data and rc file. The "compositing type "was set to "Xrender" instead of "opengl" - i only found it by accident and now it seems to work a hell of a lot faster. Hi, just submitted libzio 0.93 to Factory and also to Sourceforge, from the changelog: - Use liblzma from xz package if available - Detect if funopen(3) can be used if no fopencookie(3) found for more informations on libzio you may visit http://libzio.sourceforge.net/ For all who have a BSD System around I'd like if the last changelog entry really works on such systems. [opensuse] dns and fully qualified domain names

OpenSUSE 11.0 question: I am using samba/winbind (or whatever Yast sets up when you join a Windows AD) to resolve names in the AD. Everywhere (web pages, links, e-mails) the computer name is used without the domain part. So, dns queries fail. Am I missing a setting that can request that a domain name be tacked on to a query? [opensuse] Unable to play audio-cd's

Hi, I installed OS11.1 (with kde 3) on my laptop and I found I could not read audio-cd's. When I put in an audio-cd, the system recognises it ("my computer" shows "Audio-cd") but I can't play it. If I open it in konquerer there are no files. I can eject the disk. Another time, it showed a message when I tried to open it in konquerer : "device has no reading rights for this account, check the reading rights for the device" (translation from Dutch). When I insert a data-cd or data-dvd, everything seems OK. I didn't try yet with a video-dvd. Enclosed the outputs of lsscsi, hwinfo --cdrom end wodim -scanbus. I don't like to add myself (or other users) to the disk-group as I see that this has rw-access to /dev/sdax and I think that's not safe). [opensuse] KDE4.2 Plasma problems

Hi, Since the last update, plasmas, a lot of plasmas, does not work. A message is showed "The object could not be created for the following reason: Could no find requested component: plasma_applet_xxx", where xxx is the of the plasma. Also, other programs I insert in Desktop is no more work when click the icon. More, several "empty" icons is showed in the panel on start. Some suggestion?
