[opensuse] Migration of Mail to new Box

Hi List, I use KDE and Kmail for my mail. I am in the process of migrating my mail from an old PC to a new one which is running 10.3 :) In the past when I have migrated I have just copied the Mail folder to the new location. However its a painful process to get everything working in good order (over 5GB of mail). Lately I also tried with migrating the mail to an IMAP server which is on the new box but unfortunately I can't drag folders into the IMAP profile and also it sometimes just freaks out when copying over 10 emails at a time. Are there any migration tools out there to perform such migrations? [opensuse] Sax question for 10.3 RC1

All, I have a 6 month old Dell Desktop. I have had 10.2 running on it. I am now doing a clean install of 10.3 RC1. (ie. I had the install format the disk and start over.) Anyway, late in the install process my GUI presentation flashes to text mode presentation for a 30-60 seconds, then I got a flashing screen. I used cntrl-alt-F2 to get a console and brought it down to init 3 just fine. Then I tried "sax2 -l" and after 30-60 seconds I again got a flashing screen. Moving my mouse around I have the impression that the entire screen is a big mouse pointer? Any suggestions how to proceed. [opensuse] Fonts in openSUSE 10.3

Hi everyone! I'm using 10.3 Beta 7 (I've preordered 10.3 and don;t feel like updating to RC1 but my question isn't fixed in it either, so...) IN 10.3, compared to my machine's fonts under SUSE 10.2 (GNOME on both), the fonts look very bad. I'll have screenshots up in a little while, so everyone can see what I'm talking about, but on 10.2, I have nice large fonts that look clean and smooth. On 10.3, my fonts are large, but look very jarred and just strange (As I said, I;ll have shots of them in a little while). I did the stock install of both, and my resolution of my screen is the same on each, so does anyone know what might be causing this? If anyone needs any other info from me, I'll be glad to post it! Has xmms been discontinued for 10.3? I've downloaded 10.3 RC1 and configured a number of software repositories. However, I've been unable to find a version for 10.3. I do prefer it as a simple alternative for the all-embracing media players of one type or another. Maybe I'm looking in the wrong place or it has been ported as yet. [opensuse] Active realtime monitoring of logfiles/Logsurfer alternatives

Currently, I use logsurfer to monitor a couple of log files (both system and application). When certain phrases appear in the logs, I or others are e-mailed that they've popped up. For the most part, it works great. On occasion, though, it has a little hissy fit and does strange things -- for example, a rule that works 99% of the time will sometimes send duplicate notifications of a line appearing in the logs. I'm wondering a couple of things: - Are there other programs out there that will do this kind of active monitoring? Real-time notification is essential, which makes cron'd post-processing applications less than ideal. - If there isn't anything else that's better, anyone have any ideas why logsurfer may, on very rare occasions, send duplicate notifications?
