From time to time Kmail on my Suse 9.3, KDE 3.5 frustrates me with the following information: Sending failed: Connection to host smtp.indo.net.id is broken. The message will stay in the 'outbox' folder until you either fix the problem (e.g. a broken address) or remove the message from the 'outbox' folder. The following transport protocol was used: Bonet direct What I really like to know what to do the next time this message pops up. And what is the cause: connection broken or a broken address which is quiet different. I expect a clearer answer from Linux. This not Windows.

New mailinglists regarding powersave development

Hi, To improve the cooperation with the community and other distributions, I like to announce two mailinglists dealing with the Powersave daemon and its various clients like kpowersave, wmpowersave and gkrellm-powersave: powersave-users(a)forge.novell.com: This list is intended for giving support and having discussions from a users point of view. For instance, if you have problems with getting a specific feature functional, like to install a custom event script or modify a powersave scheme, this is the right place to ask. Discussions about future development, features and translations regarding the powersave daemon and kpowersave are done here. spamd +Suse 10.0 +Evolution

How does one get spamd to filter the spam from Evolution? Clicking the junk mail button is the manual way and I would expect the spamd would learn from the junk folder, but apparently it does not. (spamd is running) Art

I had only installed lpd-filter and not the lprng package. I will do that tomorrow. Actually, the site does provide quite a lot of information. Another question: The page states that for this model a "cups wrapper" can be installed over lpr. Problem went away after I upgraded KDE. I missed the first part of this thread so I don't know what version or KDE you are running. Bob S
