HAL and usb stick

Strange behavior in konqueror and kmail

While in the above two programs, pressing the ctrl key brings up many 1/4 inch yellow boxes with different letters in them over the top of the application. Pressing the alt key removes them. Doesn't appear to happen on other apps. I little bit annoying, wondered if it was of concern because often these boxes appear on top of links. Running opensuse 10.0, kde desktop. Peter C

Partial Migrations... SUSE with MS AD

Noticed something on suseforums just now.... Does anyone have any experience in using SUSE with MS active directory? If so, could you write something up/add it to the wiki? If you can write something up, but aren't familiar with wiki formatting, I'll help you reformat it or post it up. Something like that would be an excellent way for people to do partial migrations, especially students in labs. Help with firewall configuration and mpd

Hello, I've installed mpd on my SUSE computer, and I want to use ncmpc on a remote computer to connect to the daemon. I've tried configuring the firewall from YaST, however, I don't know what settings to change, and where to change them. External zone? I know it's the 6600 port, and I've been to the "allowed services" section of the firewall settings, and I added 6600 tcp to "Additional allowed ports", but nothing else. Nothing happened, and when I nmap the "server" it only shows ssh. Some help here please? Regards Jon Jahren
