ADSL router finesse

Having a functioning ADSL router from Aztech (3100R) on my 9.3 system. Therefore I am a little reluctant to change anything from the configuration. The manual was less than helpful and I am sure that the setup by the telephone people left a lot of possibilities unused. Have looked into the finer details of the configuration but I have given up because most choices are outlandish for me. Do not know if somebody has this or a similar router and could help me off list through the configuration. I assume that such a setup is of less interest for the list but off or on list, I can surely need some help.

samba question!

Hy people, I have a strage problem here, i have sles8 with samba 2.2, and whe i mount a windows ntfs share on my linux box i dont see all the files that the share has, because if i list the files using ftp or on the proper local machine and i count the files i have 3500, and when i list then on my linux box on the mounted smbfs i only see 2000, sometimes i get 0 files listed, i have tried mounting the share with samba 3.0 in a debian box with exactly the same result... , the thing is if i try moving a file that i cant see i can move it and use it with no probss... :¿. strange thing?? can someone help me out here? the windows share is a w2003. thnX!

k3b not working after updates

I'm not sure when it stopped working, but i tried burning a CD yesterday and it failed. Worked under <cough> XP, so it isn't the drive. So I reinstalled k3b and cdrdao and now it is working again. here's what I have installed: k3b-mad-0.12.10-3.pm.1 k3b-0.12.10-3.pm.1 cdrdao-1.1.9-8 -- Paul Cartwright Registered Linux user # 367800

Amarok and ogg files

Hi, I have some ogg sound files on a usb memory stick. Amarok can "see" them but cannot play tem whilst ogg123 can play hem fine from the command line. Does anyone have any possible explanation for this? The answer does not seem to be a sound setting per se but something specific either to amarok or to those particular ogg files. TIA Francesco

An idea for YOU and SUSE

Hi, Would anyone agree about this being a useful feature of YOU? I'd like an option in there somewhere where you can tell it not to display certain updates. Like for the language packs. They take up quite a bit if screen and I don't need them. As an example: Right click on an update and select "Hide this update" then add a button that allows you to unhide them and view them to make sure you haven't done one accidently. Would this be possible in an upcoming release? I'd love this.

Hi, This morning I got up and I saw a ton of errors with pop in my mail log. I need to know the flags for tcpdump so I see what beeing sent over port 110. This is the error I am seeing. Jan 29 08:28:22 magi popper[21154]: (null) at 12-215-86-194.client.mchsi.com (12.215.86.194): -ERR POP EOF or I/O Error [popper.c:820] This only started today, I turn off qpopper for the time. Hi, I have sent two e-mail and I have seen them on the listing is mail being filtering i need help.... I sent this on Sunday..... Konsole tabs

Hello, This may seem a silly question, but is there a keyboard shortcut to open a new tab in Konsole? I have rifled through the Konsole help and preferences, as well as the KDE preferences, but I haven't found one. I used Gnome for several years before switching to KDE a few months ago, and in the Gnome terminal, SHIFT-CTRL-T will open a new tab. It would be great if I could use the keyboard to do this in Konsole, too.
