Hi, I am using kinternet for dialup. I changed my ISP and so configured a new connection. How can I delete the older ISP from the list in Kinternet? I also get the name of older ISP in the modem configuration (in YAST2) when I check the custom ISP radio button. regards Leo

sem.h on 8.1

Hi, I want to change some kernel parameters on my system but don't seem to have a sem.h file, should I make changes to the semaphore.h header instead? I have shm.h file which should allow me to change some of the ones I want. 'm on SuSe 8.1 Thanks Mike

Postfix pass-through server

Give me an advice how can I set up the Postfix as pass-through on the dial-up firewall service for intranet SMTP server (Lotus Domino). I going to set up the follow configuration. My system: SuSE 7.3 Firewall, dial-up fetchmail for fetching mail messages via POP3 to intranet mail server postfix for outgoing mail messages via SMTP from intranet mail server to provider Don't hesitate to make me any advices, but Lotus Domino I can not to remove from LAN. ---- http://photo.alkar.net

I think you might have to do an apt-get update to right your db files because the above directory on gwdg.de is where apt would be looking for this pkg. Of course I don't have funktronis in my sources file so I don't know what that provides. I'd go get the files manually.. should work fine then. I am at my wits end. after an upgrade of the latest k_deflt my system as been all screwy. I have now reloaded the kernel from cd1 and seem to have most working except I cannot get to a gui interface. When I boot all seems to go well until it reaches the point of going to kde then the screen blinks three times and returns me to a command line. When I type kde it always gives the same two errors, sed: can't read /root/.qt/qtrc and libart_lgpl_2.so.2 no such file or directory. When I try to use apt-get --reinstall install to reinstall anything it always seems to find a missing dependency and libart_lgpl_2.so.2 is always one of them. Any ideas on where this file is located and how to get it installed, so that I can return to SuSE and get off this *******)((? windoze. TIA David

gtk apps can't see all fonts

My gtk apps cannot see all fonts, anymore. They were able to at some point, but I don't know when that stopped working. The situation now is, that e.g. phoenix offers me only a very limited set of fonts, excluding e.g. ttf fonts. Similar problems in GIMP, Ethereal, etc. I use KDE as the desktop environment. KDE sees the fonts just fine, and I can use them correctly there. Didn't see anything reasonable in /etc/gtk or /etc/gtk-2.0. Any ideas where to start looking? Kostas

DVD Newbie

Hi , I installed 8.2 and since it's so audio/video compatible,I thought I'd try and play a DVD. However xine and Mplayer return a funny garbled picture. (Audio is ok) Do I need hardware (dxr-stuff) or is there a way I can play my DVD ungarbeled ? Regards Dan

Evolution problem....HELP! I lost some email

I was screwing around with Evolution 1.2 at work, deleting old email when I noticed that in my Vfolders (which I still don't understand their uses) I had what looked like over 4k messages. Thinking to myself, I don't need those, I deleted them. They went to my trash folder and I emptied the trash. Well I had to look in a folder, that I named for my customer, and all the emails I had in there were gone! I had over 2 years worth of email and they are all gone. I could only contribute this to my deleting of the messages in my "Unmatched" VFolder. I checked other folders for my other customers and 99% of the emails are gone. Are they really gone, or can I get them back somehow? Why would deleting messages in a VFolder take messages out of my custom folders? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!
