[SuSE Linux] Rebuilding kernel modules

I want to upgrade the kernel driver module used for my nic, but I am not quite sure how to do it correctly. I know I can do a ' make modules ' and then' make modules_install ', but what I do not know is how this will effect my current build (all documentation that I have found is very skimpy on the subject). Doing a ' make modules ' will probably complie all the sources in the drivers directory, but will the ' make modules_install ' try to install them as well? Will I have to reinstall LiLo after? [SuSE Linux] swapon -s

Has anyone ever tried the swapon -s command? According to the instructions, the -s option should report swap usage by device. All I get is wapon: /proc/swaps :No such file or device Is this a mismatch between swapon and the /proc filesystem in my 2.0.35 kernel or am I missing something or is my system missing something? I think I'm using the swap partition since top reports usage. I know I have /proc, I can do cat /proc/interrupts and stuff. [SuSE Linux] Epson Stylus Pro, Epson Stylus Photo

Does anyone have a suggestion for these two printers? The choices in Epson are a bit slim and I get code out of my Pro no matter what I have called it. Haven't tried the other one, but I have little hope of finding a driver. Has anyone got linux to work as a ppp server for win NT 4.0 and/or win 98. I've been beating my head against a wall on this one. PPP dials out OK and I can get the win box to login using mgetty and PAP but I can't pass packets. Who on Linux tells me I'm logged in and on the correct ttyS0 --win 98 says connected via PAP and tcp up-- BUT, NO ping or tcpip?? Getting very aggravated since I had this working on an old slackware system with win 95.
