[opensuse] Firefox 3.0 pdf; 2-5 Times Larger pdf file size.

Listmates, The new FF 3.0 pdf file size is 2 to 5 times larger that with FF 2.0. How do you tell FF 3.0 to use kprinter in order to reduce the file size? Another thing I dislike about the new FF. So far as I remember though, these are always open networks (no key, not authentication required). And yes, my firewall is turned on! I'll admit I'm amazed you've never seen this. I have it about 20~30% of the time. It's happened with every Linux I've tried to use on a laptop with wireless (9.1, 10.1, and 10.3 I think) Maybe I'm just special! Here's what typically happens. 1) Network applet sees the access point, and I select it. 2) Network applet spins for a while, then gives up. I can repeat steps 1 and 2 as much as I like, and nothing will change. 3) I reboot into windoze, it connects as soon as I ask it to. 4) I reboot into Linux, and often it will then connect successfully. Unfortunately, the place I'm in today, step 4 isn't working :( I used to suspect the networks were just overcrowded, but so far I've _never_ had it fail to connect in the dreaded windoze :( Any thoughts? [opensuse] openSUSE 11 configure printer error, bug??

I try to install a network printer. All goes well and the printer appears in YaST. [opensuse] Loginprocess anomaly

Hello everybody, Using: Suse 11.0 , KDE3.54 ,NXfree. Suse 11.0 is derived from upgraded SuSe 10.3 no KDE4 installed. Is there some documentation to read about the loginprocess ? I have strange situation. A local login gives me my old standard kde3 desktop. A remote login gives me a kde4 desktop !!! How is that possible ??? (there is only 1 remote system) Does anybody have any idea where to look ? [opensuse] Cant start SaX in openSuse 11.0 anymore

I have installed openSuse 11.0 (KDE 3) and I am using an old CRT (Model: Siemens 21T1), which wasnt in the SaX monitor list, so I chose a similar model (ModelName "21P4"). A couple of days later I tried to start SaX (SaX2 version 8.1 - SVN Release: 1.49 2003/03/17) again to increase the resolution of my monitor but after starting /usr/sbin/sax2 I get the following error message: SaX: initializing please wait... I have installed OpenVPN & the NetworkManager-openvpn-kde application, to use with KNetworkManager. However, I don't see how to use it.
