Same here. I had no issues installing and running the one from skype.com meant for SUSE 10. [opensuse] openSUSE: Current state of virtualization

Hi All, I would like to take some time discussing virtualization inside openSUSE Linux OS. The main point I have is that openSUSE is very focused on one approach and solution, namely : Xen. As a Linux community-member I would like to request making openSUSE more virtualization-vendor neutral. I know, that besides Xen, openSUSE includes other solutions, such as: boxhs/(k)qemu/kvm/virtualbox and some VMware tools, which is good. openSUSE 11 also offers Lguest and virtual bridge configuration via Yast, so things are progressing. The main point is that those other solutions are absolutely not visible from Yast. When a user opens Yast, it automatically recommends the user to install Xen and reboot into Xen kernel, and besides that the documentation is very Xen-centric. So far we have 3 problems with virtualization in openSUSE, as I see it: 1. Yast offers Xen-only virtualization 2. Documentation explains about Xen, but not mentions other solutions at all 3. openSUSE lacks container-type virtualization (OpenVZ / cgroups) Now, with latest predictions that Citrix might drop Xen in favor of Hyper-V, we absolutely need - not to reject Xen - but at least become more vendor neutral. Sometimes I find that, but in this case--as is most common for me--it never actually connects at all. Certainly I've found several hotels that require me to do a web-based "login" and those often insist on using IE. What bloody-mindedness is that eh? But my situation is most commonly that the wireless connection never completes at all. Any more thoughts? [opensuse] OOo 2.4 not rendering fonts

Half my fonts go back to the days of Win311. Until now they all rendered fine. Now only one in ten works correct. Kword, ABIWord and the font viewers of KDE and Gnome see them. Kword can use these fonts just fine so what is wrong with OOo? How do I correct OOo??????????????? [opensuse] Hopefully simple printing question

All, OS 10.3 / KDE / Network Printer (HP 4500 Color Laser) My printer has somehow stalled. Everything I print goes to a queue and never pops out of the printer. I know the printer is not the problem because I have a XP VM on the same machine and I can print from there fine. How do I tell OS to start printing again. Hi everyone, When I installed openSUSE 10.3, I could choose to install the 32 bit runtime environment. What exactly does this allow?
