SuSEfirewall complains on "ip6table_mangle"

Hi All, I thought, that everything is just OK with my ip6 settings under my SUSE 9.1, but very recently my firewall started to complain concerning "ip6table_mangle": Sep 21 21:47:32 khazad-dum kernel: ip6_tables: (C) 2000-2002 Netfilter core team Sep 21 21:47:32 khazad-dum kernel: ip_tables: (C) 2000-2002 Netfilter core team Sep 21 21:47:32 khazad-dum kernel: ip_conntrack version 2.1 (4091 buckets, 32728 max) - 300 bytes per conntrack Sep 21 21:47:32 khazad-dum kernel: ip6table_filter: Unknown parameter `ip6table_mangle' I did the changes written by SUSE, how to disable ip6 networking, so in etc/modprobe.conf stands now: alias net-pf-10 ipv6 install ipv6 /bin/true Additionally in my /etc/sysconfig/SuSEfirewall2 is: FW_IPv6="drop" FW_IPv6_REJECT_OUTGOING="yes" Could you please suggest me a way how to block ipv6 completely, but avoid the above mentioned error message in the same time?! Do I actually need ip6_tables to be loaded?! (The machine is a stand-alone PC sometimes with eth0 via ip4, and sometimes with ppp0 via single dial-up...) Thanks in advance, Peli

Procmail on outgoing mail

Procmail works fine for incomming mail. I use it to filter mail trough spamassassin, clamav and aslo some custom regex expressions. I'm just wondering how to get procmail also filter outgoing mail... Philippe TEMESI.

Multiple ServerNames in httpd.conf ?

Hi all, If I have a virtualhost defind (which is working fine) with Servername set to www.somedomain.com can I add a second ServerName defining just somedomain.com so it is accessible by both www.somedomain.com and http://somedomain.com ? If not, how do I do it - do I have to have a VirtualHost for each ? Below is an example of my virtualhost: <VirtualHost xxx.xxx.xxx.250> ServerAdmin richard(a)somedomain.com DocumentRoot /home/site1 ServerName www.somedomain.com ErrorLog /home/site1/logs/error_log CustomLog /home/site1/logs/access_log common </VirtualHost> Thanks Richard

ULB Rhythmbox

When I try to load any music (by "opening a folder") with rhythmbox, I get a message telling me "failed to create gnomevfssrc element; check your installation," one for each file. (I use all OGG's, BTW.) I opened up my sources.list file to include everything, but all the relevant packages seem to be installed already. PHP install problem.

Hello, I'm trying to install PHP 4.3 on a Suse Professional 9.1 system (A Dell PC). It's going to run with Apache 1.3 and MySQL. This is a known error in Red Hat with the SNMP package, but it was supposed to be fixed with PHP 4.3 Notes: Yes, I'm aware that the version of the mod_php is not the same as the php version, but I can't find a mod_php rpm that matches the php rpm's exactly. I had to do a --nodep on the mod_php rpm to get it to install. I don't, however, think that this is causing the problem I'm seeing. Has anyone seen this problem? Thanks, Braun Brelin

YAST Deletes routes src entries

Hi, If the routes file is manually edited to include src entries, so as to bind to specific addresses, when for example doing vpn networks. If then the routing configuration tool in YAST is used, even not making any changes, then the src part of the line is deleted. 10.0.3.52 is an additional address on lo. Manually entered:- 10.0.4.0 - 255.255.255.0 eth2 src 10.0.3.52 After YAST:- 10.0.4.0 - 255.255.255.0 eth2 Is there an alternate file that can be used that YAST will not edit, or can YAST be ideally changed so that it is possible to include the src entries? I have a dsl connection to the Internet, single machine. On scan.sygate.com i scanned my computer (stealth scan) and find out: web, pop3, ident, netbios, https, sox proxy...and some more CLOSED other are blocked. Is it possible to blocked this ports? With a QUICK SCAN i have CLOSED just web and ident port and ICMP protocol is OPEN. Thank you, Mitja
