Got mine from http://www.chumbo.com and paid $5 extra for overnight FED EX. Ordered it yesterday at around 11am and got it today at noon. It sells, the Full version, for $80 minus the shipping. 1->2 CPU, reinstall needed?

I've had SuSE 9.0 Pro running on my server for a while now with only 1 of the 2 CPU's. I've recently aquired the second CPU and am wondering if I need to re-install SuSE in order to fully take advantage of the second CPU. [SLE] NFS unused

I have the condition in the boot log: "NFS unused nfs start exitswith status 6 Why does it do this??? Do I need an entry in /etc/fstab as the only way of satisfying nfs to run??? Can I not do the mount manually? Does anyone have an example of a fstab line entry that decalres a mount as an NFS drive? ,,, is "mount computer:/dir_path /mount_point" an NFS command??? Ted

some services won't start

Our master node (SuSE 9.0) was running OK then it had to be turned off. When it came up again postfix, cron, nscd, and xdm could not be started. Below is part of the relevant messages from boot.msg. It also seems in olden days, there was size limit and the programs like lilo couldn't find the boot section pass 2 gigs, I think that has been fixed, though. I agree with Sid, on some of the other reasons of having more than on partition. Sometimes it just makes for better housekeeping too? Starting ssh-add

I'm trying to start ssh-add, for ssh, when I login. I've added it, including full path, to .profile. However, despite this, it doesn't seem to run and I have to run it manually. Any idea why it's not running? It's not configured to require a pass phrase. tnx jk

Newbie: SLES8 z/Linux Websphere v5

I appreciate that this may not be the correct place for this or that this information may be available in a FAQ somewhere or in the archives, but I don't know where the FAQs are and I was unable to search the archives from the URL that I found. I am fairly new to Linux but have been asked to take primary responsibility for our SLES8 on z/Series processor. I have some Unix (AIX) experience so this isn't totally alien to me. I have been asked to install WAS v5.1 (IBM Websphere Application Server) and am stumped at finding and installing Sun jr2e 1.4 or determining what, if any, Java is installed. I'd be very interested in finding anyone else who is running a similar environment (with more experience than me :-) ) or pointers to docs or other lists or newsgroups.
