Which DVD-read/CD-burn combo?

Hi, I'm just assembling my new pc and wondering which DVD-reader/CD-burner combo to put in if I want that to work fine with Suse 9.0. Could you please help me? I have Nec, Mitshumi, or Samsung in mind. Also asking if I can expect problems with Suse using a Powercolor Radeon 9200SE 128MB video card. Thanks for any help, Marton Balazs

Are you by any chance running a Soyo board? Or at least a board with a VIA chipset? Because I have had many APM problems with Soyo boards and the like.

Computer won't fully shutdown

This is probably a hardware setting problem, so I don't know if you guys can help, but everyone was so helpful with my other prob I might as well try... Everything halts normally, and it gets to the point where is says something about the computer is shutting down, and just stops there. And of course turning off the power button on this particular machine resets it, as opposed to turning it off. Anyone know what I have to do to make it shut down completely? Blake

Need help with display information

I installed a game called America's Army. Upon trying to run it I get the following: Tom@linux:~/Download> armyops Xlib: extension "XFree86-DRI" missing on display ":0.0". Xlib: extension "XFree86-DRI" missing on display ":0.0". Xlib: extension "XiG-SUNDRY-NONSTANDARD" missing on display ":0.0". GL_EXT_bgra not supported - bailing out. History: Exiting due to error What does this mean? I really have no idea. I'm running a Matrox G550 video card, if that helps. Tom

I meant to say above that I ran apt-get upgrade (after apt-get update). apt-get then upgraded 1403 packages but the upgrades were not installed. Hi I want to know if f-prot is just a command line scanner, or can it be setup to check incomming mails ?. Problems with scp'ing or rsync'ing and authentication

I'm trying to scp a file from my mailserver to my computer. kdeinit error
