no more usb keyboard and mouse

Hello, since the very last update with "zypper up --recommand", my openSUSE Leap 15.3 do not anymore accept external keyboard or mouse. however, booting windows 10 (!!!), and rebooting immediately (no need to login) restore the mouse/keyboard usual working the usb keyboard works as expected in grub menu booting the previous snapshot do not makes any better this was since 48 hours and right now still no new update may I fill a bug report? thanks jdd -- http://dodin.org http://valeriedodin.com

file manager used to save in chrome

In the latest update in 15.2, something changed in the way I save files downloaded from the internet when in Chrome, or a Chrome based browser like Brave. It used to use Dolphin file manager, and that is much more convenient, because it requires less clicks to change the file name. Now it switched to the file manager that Gnome uses - I guess its Nautilus. I don't use Gnome very much, but I have it installed and sometimes go into it if there is something I need it for, so I have to keep the gnome base packages on my system. badblocks replacement successor for huge disks?

Installing 15.3

I'd like to [finally] install 15.3. I want to install it separate to my existing system so I can revert to my existing system in the event of problems. I'm having trouble finding a clear set of instructions. I've found https://doc.opensuse.org/documentation/leap/startup/html/book-startup/art-o… and https://doc.opensuse.org/documentation/leap/startup/html/book-startup/cha-i… but they both start with the assumption that I've already got an installation image. I don't! So searching elsewhere I've found https://en.opensuse.org/SDB:Download_help and that suggests (among many other suggestions just to confuse me!) https://download.opensuse.org/distribution/leap/15.3/iso/ but that seems to have an enormous number of possibilities. I can figure out some of it: DVD vs NET and x86_64 vs other architectures and .iso vs .iso.sha256 but I'm lost about other aspects. What's Media vs Current all about? And what's 15.3 vs 15.3-2? And what's Build24.5? Is there a single place that actually documents how to install 15.3 from start to end?

Opera has lost ability to print to pdf

Version:81.0.4196.31 Opera is up to date Update stream:Stable System:openSUSE Leap 15.2 (x86_64; MATE) This is sudden. Weeks ago I was able to print to pdf my work schedule. Yesterday no. I just ran update this morning after some issues with the main repository being down. According to Opera the latest is version 82 but only in Debian or DEB. Not sure why it has lost ability when print to pdf works in other browsers. A Bug report has been reported. CWSIV

Help! chroot seems to have changed, I can't recover my system Solved

Hi my problem was caused by a system that was only half updated from 15.2 to 15.3. I was eventually able to chroot into my hard drives root from a tty console in the installation system after I had failed to update for the third time. Then I was able to do a zypper dup, force reinstall the kernel and I was able to boot by boot installed system and hunt down the remaining Leap 15.2 packages. Thanks Dave P

Bubble infos not shown -> ?

Hello, does anybody know, why XFCE may not show the bubble infos e.g. when connecting to internet ? I do have another machine with Leap 15.2 where this information is shown. Where can I config this? Which rpms might be missing? Thanks in advance. BR
