[opensuse] DHCPv6-PD request

Hello everybody, my ISP provides me with IPv6 and a / 56 subnet. The router on the Internet connection (it is a router from the ISP) distributes a / 64 prefix for the directly connected devices. A second router that is connected to the router from the ISP should be able to request a prefix from the first router. The second router for me is a PC with openSUSE to separate the network again. Now I would like to have the openSUSE router request a prefix via DHCPv6-PD to distribute it in the network behind the openSUSE router. Does openSUSE (Leap 15.2 / Tumbleweed) support DHCPv6-PD requests and how can I implement it? [opensuse] LibreOffice: Silbentrennung installieren

Hallo Wenn ich in LibreWriter 7.0.0 beta2 (Tumbleweed) die Silbentrennung aktiviere bekomme ich die Meldung, dass die Trenndaten nicht da seien, ich solle sie installieren (missing hyphenation data...). In zypper und Discover kann ich nichts finden. Ist es die Idee, dass der Installation-Mechanismus von LibreOffice benutzt werden soll, oder bin ich einfach zu doof, dass rpm zu finden? Wenn ersteres, kann ich das als root tun, damit alle Benutzer in den Genuss der Silbentrennung kommen? [opensuse] Yast2 - printer config - service 'cups' not found

Leap15.2 with KDE Trying to enable network printing, when I toggle the setting "Accept Printer Announcements from CUPS Servers", YaST says "Error: Failed to restart the CUPS Daemon: $SUBJ". The printer announcements/broadcasts _are_ arriving on this machine, I have checked. Strange, but interesting, As an openoffice user and contributor before libreoffice and a libreoffice user and contributor since, I found it a bit odd that the open-source offering will now be limited to the "Personal Edition".. [opensuse] Leap 15.2: Mounting XFS filesystem fails on large RAID partitions

Hi Folks, I ran into a problem installing 15.2 on a system with a couple of large RAID partitions. I just filed bugid 1174056, but I thought I'd mention it here just in case. Bug# 1174056: Installation from full Leap 15.2 ISO fails when attempting to mount XFS filesystems on large RAID partitions. Error dialog follows: mount -t XFS /dev/sdc1 /mnt mount: /export/data: mount(2) system call failed: structure needs cleaning. After booting without mounting the filesystems, xfs_repair returns: xfs_repair -n /dev/sdc1: Phase 1 - Find and Verify Superblock... Bad Primary Superblock - bad stripe width in Superblock! Attempting to find secondary superblock... ........ (I didn't wait around, too many dots) Formatting the same partitions with Ext4 works as expected. RAID Controller: Avago 3108 MegaRAID /dev/sdc1: 267-TB /dev/sdd1: 127-TB I haven't seen this on other systems with similar RAID partitions with Leap 15.1 and lower. Any ideas? mkfs.xfs seems to work, at least it doesn't complain about anything. [opensuse] What happens if I rerun the vendor change?

I ran '$sudo zypper dup --from packman-essentials --allow-vendor-change' after adding 'packman' repository. But, the network issue occurred, so I 'ctrl-c'ed and then re-ran the command after fixing my internet. But what happens if I re-rerun that command without '--from' option? I mean just '$sudo zypper dup --allow-vendor-change'? Will it come to the main repository again or no-effect? [opensuse] During zypper dup update: how to force the rpms to be downloaded temporarily to a specified repo (eg. /home/user/update)

My disk space on root is only 2 GB. Too low to perform an update via zypper dup because the amount of rpms downloaded prior installation exceeds the space. I did last time a trick that I simply forgot, I defined a place for the rmp to be downloaded in /home. I then lifted this when done. But I cannot recall the command. [opensuse] Curious issue with Seamonkey

I have both Seamonkey and Thunderbird for email on Leap 15.2. One difference I've noticed is when the sender includes a graphic in the subject. On Thunderbird, the picture appears entirely within the subject line, which is annoying enough, but in Seamonkey it's spread over several lines. Has anyone else noticed this? [opensuse] NFS client woes (Windows)

I am running an openSUSE 15.1 NFS server in a cluster with a mix of Linux and Windows clients. The Linux side of everything seems to be working great. The NFS clients on Windows 10 seem unstable. They seem always to have trouble maintaining the connection. There are four Windows computers that are doing the same thing. They are pretty much identical. Wait a minute. Why am I asking what appears to be a Windows question here? Well, I can't be 100% positive it is simply that the official Windows 10 NFS client from Microsoft is so unstable, I do not see any discussions about this. Surely there would be a blip on the radar. All I see are things about speed comparisons. So, I am thinking that the server and client are somehow mismatched. So I'm starting by asking: Is anyone using the MS NFS client for Windows 10 with an openSUSE NFS server? Why NFS? Mainly because it is easy to share and unshare directories independently. The server maintains a disk array with 24 removable disks (hot swappable). These disks come and go independently. So they need to be exported and unexported independently. I do not see how to do this with SAMBA. All is in one big file and they are shared and unshared together. We do not want to disrupt some disks while changing others. So NFS seemed a way to go. If I have missed something in SAMBA, I would be ever so happy.
