[opensuse] install-new-recommends auto-agree-with-licenses

Hello, after adding the Nvidie repositories I'm trying to install-new-recommends with the following command: zypper --non-interactive install-new-recommends Then I get the following Warning: 92 new packages to install. Overall download size: 108.9 MiB. Already cached: 0 B. After the operation, additional 431.9 MiB will be used. Continue? [y/n/v/...? shows all options] (y): y Do you agree with the terms of the license? [yes/no] (no): no Aborting installation due to the need for license confirmation. Please restart the operation in interactive mode and confirm your agreement with required licenses, or use the --auto-agree-with-licenses option. In this case the problem is the Nvidia license. But there is no way to combine install-new-recommends with --auto-agree-with-licenses I tried different orders like zypper install-new-recommends --auto-agree-with-licenses The flag --auto-agree-with-licenses is not known zypper --auto-agree-with-licenses install-new-recommends The flag --auto-agree-with-licenses is not known. Is there any other way to install new recommends with auto accept licenses? [opensuse] Install openSUSE 15.1 on ThinkPad

My next victim for installing 15.1 is my Lenovo ThinkPad E520. On the disk, there's a primary partition /dev/sda4, which is Lenovo recovery. Part of my plan is to convert the disk from MBR to UEFI. Will this partion cause any problems? Is it just a matter of backing up and restoring that partition? Does it have to be in the same place? [opensuse] NFS: nfs4_reclaim_open_state: Lock reclaim failed! / nfs root on ipv6 with leap 15.0 ?

I seem to be hitting $SUBJ more and more often, with Leap 15.0 systems/clients. Sofar the easy way out has been to force a connection over ipv4 only. [opensuse] How to exclude sites from Zypper?

I mean site not repository. I know, because in the past, I can download at speed in excess of 6megabytes/sec from some sites 9and, lets face it, from YouTube and other streaming sites), and still can if I sftp/wget/cURL from specific ones, but the supposed smarts or mirrorbrain are selecting sites that, while they may be electrically closer, are delivering less than 1% of that, often even less, sometimes single digit byes/sec. Other than firewalling out specific sites, and somehow getting zypper to deal with that error (but I'm not sure how), how can I tell the mirrorbrain selection that I don't want "the closest and mostest"? Who knows, perhaps Estonia is faster than Waterloo? [opensuse] Tumbleweed speed

I have an old laptop (acer something - its my daughter's old one) that had the root file system die. It was up-to-date when this happened. So I decided to reinstall Tumbleweed. Luckily the /home partition was ok, so I just let it be. There is nothing important on this computer. It mainly contains a checkout of our current subversion source repository. The install is the same as before except that it i the latest install image, and I disabled CPU mitigations. Same file systems (btrfs for / and xfs for /home). I am fairly certain that all is set up the same: installation defaults. Unless I am imagining things, it is much faster than before the OS reinstall. I can't believe that the CPU mitigations make such a noticeable difference. Could it be other install defaults that have changed since the previous install (maybe 2 years ago)? The CPU is an Intel(R) Core(TM) i3. /proc/cpuinfo says: bugs : cpu_meltdown spectre_v1 spectre_v2 spec_store_bypass l1tf mds The kernel command line is: BOOT_IMAGE=/boot/vmlinuz-5.1.5-1-default root=UUID=be03609a-b2cb-426e-875e-aa9aaacbb5ba splash=silent resume=/dev/disk/by-uuid/f03be3df-6961-406e-82a7-7bc4deb7ef9a quiet mitigations=off I guess I should be happy. [opensuse] leap 15.1 / openvpn - stricter requirements on the server

Just a heads-up, maybe we have some openvpn users here? In leap 15.1 we ship openvpn 2.4.5 - this version has a stricter set of checks on the server setup. [opensuse] PHP include path problem with Horde on 42.3

Dear OpenSUSE users, I got an openSUSE 42.3 box with PHP 7.0.7 and latest horde 5.2.21 with IMP, turba, passwd, etc ... I installed horde via pear as described in the documents https://www.horde.org/apps/horde/docs/INSTALL and all went smooth and fine. the only problem I experience is the PHP include path in the php.ini in /etc/php7/cli/php.ini /etc/php7/apache/php.ini the default setting is: include_path = ".:/usr/share/php7:/usr/share/php7/PEAR" but this throws a fatal error accessing horde via apache HORDE: [horde] Error: Class 'PEAR_Config' not found in /usr/share/php7/PEAR/Horde/Core/Db/Migration.php:66 if i want to run horde-db-migrate via cli I get the same fatal error cx20:# horde-db-migrate PHP Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Class 'PEAR_Config' not found in /usr/bin/horde-db-migrate:28 If I have a look at the php_dir in pear config all seems to look fine cx20:~ # pear config-show PEAR directory php_dir /usr/share/php7/PEAR but I still do get the fatal error! only if I change the order (move the PEAR path to the front) of the include path in the php.ini things do work as they should include_path = ".:/usr/share/php7/PEAR:/usr/share/php7" which seems strange to me as PHP should try all the different include paths before throwing an error? anyone here with a similar issue? perhaps someone can shed some light on what is going on here? that would be nice ;) thanks & greetings Becki -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe(a)opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner(a)opensuse.org
