[opensuse] Annoying features in Amarok

Since installing the latest Amarok on 15.1, I've noticed a couple of annoying "features". First, I now get a pop up message with the song title. Since I'm not deaf, I really don't need a pop up telling me what song is starting. The other, more serious "feature" is it stops playing after several songs. I have been using Amarok for a few years and not experienced these before. Any ideas? [opensuse] Google calc and Linux

Hi, I have created a small calc sheet to use on the move, using Google calc app on Android. Now, I wonder how can I use the said sheet on my Linux machine. I thought that I would see a tool on the browser page, gmail page, but no, I don't. Have I missed the icon, or do you know how to open it in Linux? -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R. But no need to at all. Again, to see *all available* packages in each (every) configured repo (the main repo's are added by the installer) click on the "Repositories" tab in YaST/Software Management. On the left side is a list of each repo, as well as a selection for the entire "@system". In the list to the right, the packages with checks are installed, unchecked means not installed. Other than certain multimedia related packages (see below), I would guess that nearly all of what you're looking for will be in the main repo's. Before long you will likely need to add one or more unofficial repositories, of which there are many. In particular, the "Packman" repo holds many widely-used unofficial suse packages maintained by contributors; there are about a dozen in that repo that are needed for a fully unencumbered multimedia experience. To find all repo(s) having a particular package name, the "Get Software" link on the opensuse home page presents a search utility. YaST Software Management also organizes packages by "patterns" or "groups" which can be useful in identifying all in a category that may be of interest. I strongly recommend you use either YaST or zypper to install packages. It seems a lot of us on the list are, for some reason. I think it has to do with age :-) Which version are you running? Accessing the configuration hasn't changed in recent, say the last ten or so, releases. Maybe more. My memory fades with age :-) The menu is the 'three bars' on the right. Hover over it with the mouse and it will say so. Click on it and you'll see 'preferences'. Click on that and you'll get a display that offers many, many configuration options. 'Advanced' is the one on the far right. You really should experiment and explore the applications. Hope this is the right place to ask questions! I've come to OpenSuse Thunderbird after losing my PCLOS computer to some kind of glitch, and I don't like the latest version that PCLOS is putting out now--a lot of apps that I have used on a regular basis are gone, along with a lot of libs that I would need to get the apps back, but the libs are not available. I wanted to stay with an rpm system to have at least something familiar, but I'm running into some real questions that I can't answer. 1: Where is the equivalent of the Synaptic Package Manager? There must be a list of everything available on the repo, and from which any one or more can be downloaded and installed. I want to put an icon on the desktop that will lead me to that, whatever it is called in this OS. 2. Why can't I install any printers? I have provided my password TWICE, but then it comes up forbidden? If I open CUPS and provide a password, will I have to install a long string of instructions to install a printer? If so, where should the printer info (ppd from the manufacturer) be stored? (I have the instructions to install printers in PCLOS--- in a typed-in instruction, and are they going to work? I will change the source file for the ppd as required here.) I'm sure that there will be other things that come up.
