[opensuse] Problem with Dropbox API on OpenSUSE

Linux 3.16.7-21-desktop openSUSE 13.2 (Harlequin) (x86_64) KDE 4.14.9 Dopbox Package: 1.6.2-4.1 I have a problem with Dropbox API on OpenSUSE Linux. Not sure who is maintaining the Dropbox code for linux... if you see image, the system-tray menu does not show correctly. other packages with system-tray menu work fine.... [opensuse] 13.1 FF38 - sites complain Flash Player is Vulnerable

All, I have had several sites pop-up warnings that flash-player is vulnerable and request confirmation before viewing. noaa.weather.gov being the latest. I have the following installed: flash-player-11.2.202.457-174.1.x86_64 Is this not the latest? I've checked and there are no newer versions. Am I missing a patch or something? [opensuse] Latest Thunderbird Borked?

Hi Folks, Is it just me or is the latest Thunderbird 38.0.1 from obs://build.opensuse.org/mozilla having problems? There's a new annoying button placement and it's unable to send mail. The send window opens and everything works up to the point I hit the "send" button. Then nothing happens. It doesn't freeze, but the message is never sent. I went back to 31.7.0 to send this note. This is on 13.2 x86-64. The only "odd" aspect is I configure outgoing SMTP to use port 2025 to bypass my ISP's firewall. [opensuse] Network Gurus - Why is RedHat Contacting my Webserver?

All, (network guys/girls), During a routine dump of network traffic I stumbled upon a short (14 packet) bit of communication between my web server and (209.132.178.69) (RedHat). (packet summary attached) It wasn't so much alarming as it was a "WTF is that for?" I'm curious if anyone knows whether or what it looks like the communication was for? Net topology survey? I'm running bash. I'm trying to access a file explicitly that has a unicode char in the name: > ls *mynd.dd | od -c 0000000 i 314 201 m y n d . d d \n 0000013 Naively just trying to put those as octal chars isn't working: > ls i\0314\0201mynd.dd ls: cannot access i03140201mynd.dd: No such file or directory I believe \0314\0201 is actually a single unicode char. What is the right syntax? [opensuse] importing CA's into firefox

Hi all, I know you can add manually additional trusted (sub-)CA's into firefox, by clicking through the GUI's, but... Is this also possible non-interactively, ie, by means of a shell script? I presume they end-up somewhere in: ll .mozilla/firefox/default/*.db ~/.mozilla/firefox/default/cert8.db ~/.mozilla/firefox/default/key3.db ~/.mozilla/firefox/default/secmod.db As if i backup/restore cert8.db manually added CA's disappear. All, I need a reference citation for the use of `printf -v` that writes the formatted output for a value to a variable. The use is: printf -v varname "format specifier" value example: $ printf -v f "0x%02x" 13 $ echo $f 0x0d I know how to use it, I just can't find a reference that tells me I can use it like that. I've checked the man pages and info coreutils/printf invocation, but I can't find a reference to the `-v` option anywhere. What say the gurus? -- David C. Hi. With 12.3, bash completion generally work(s/ed) for me. However, in 13.2, it does not, unless I modify /usr/share/bash-completion/bash_completion at line 1741 to include `sudo` specifically, AND source it again for each xterm window I open... The file has, at least in theory, been sourced from the chain /etc/bash.bashrc /etc/profile.d/bash_completion.sh /usr/share/bash-completion/bash_completion However, I still have to explicitly source it again in the newly-opened xterm to get `sudo` commands to tab-complete (e.g. `sudo ls <TAB>..`) 12.3 seems to have had the pattern: /etc/bash.bashrc /etc/profile.d/complete.bash Re-jiggering /etc/bash.bashrc to prefer /etc/profile.d/complete.bash over /etc/profile.d/bash_completion.sh on 13.2 doesn't seem to help. The only difference I see between the 12.3 and 13.2 versions of complete.bash is the inclusion of the block starting with if ! type -t _completion_loader &> /dev/null ; then _completion_loader () Any explanations? Suggestions on getting back sudo <CMD> <TAB>... completion?
