[opensuse] Where to find openSuSE/Spamassassin how-to

I followed the former SPAMASSASSIN discussion with great interest. - underfortunately, the thread wasn't exactly what I was looking for. - I've got one machine that receives mail for 15 users. I use postfix. I'd like to setup SA on that machine so that it performs an (albeit) very basic spam filtering using procmail/spamassassin. As I understand, postfix recieves the mail quite as usual. It's delivered to procmail which then - trough the use of certain rules - decides what to do with it. For example, it may send it to SA. Which then will mark spam with an altered header for filtering by the individual users mailprogramme (kmail etc.). Now, does SA send the mail back to procmail - or does SA deliver it to the user? My setup/macine is a rather plain vanilla openSuSE11.1. I've looked - and read - a number of SA documents, but those I found seemed to be outdated or delt with SA being setup by a single user? Any hints and links? However in either of GNOME or KDE, the Network Manager auto-detected the Wireless Adapter once it was inserted into the USB port (try the ones behind, if the front ones don't work, for a desktop PC). There is a pop-up notification or if there isn't, (further steps are for the GNOME desktop) ... right-click on the NetworkManager applet/add the applet [1] to panel if you haven't (_before this, ensure that you have set up networking using 'Network Manager' and not the 'traditional method using ifup' from Yast_ ). There should be a Wireless Tab w/ an [Edit] button, where you need to enter your SSID (Network Name), etc, the rest is self-explanatory on that tab. You will need to check the security level that you have set your Wireless Router with & use that in the [Security] tab. [opensuse] Any thought about ditching the "Green" for 11.2?

Listmates, I don't want a flame war, just an answer to whether there has been any thought to changing from the green color for openSuSE to something else? We have been green since what? ( 10.1 or 10.2 ) and blue before that. 10.0 looked fine in blue. I've always thought the green was kind of ugly, reminding me of Lima beans. Any other possible choice? Novell Red? Back to Blue? Anything? Just a thought. Hopefully 11.2 will be a breath of fresh air, and with kde4 finally settling into a usable desktop, I bet it will be. Maybe it's time to shake off the old green... [opensuse] Help with (simple) yast-HTTP-Server setup please

I am getting crazy with a simple setup of a Webserver with yast. The message is: Error Invalid server name. A valid domain name consists of components separated by dots. Each component contains letters, digits, and hyphens. A hyphen may not start or end a component and the last component may not begin with a digit. This was configured New Host Information Server Identification Server Name: pinguin.uni.cc Server Contents Root: /srv/www/htdocs/pinguin.uni.cc Administrator E-Mail: Server Resolution VirtualHost (x) Determine Request Server by HTTP Headers * ( ) Determine Request Server by Server IP Address Obviously pinguin.uni.cc is correct. Maybe I should try it manually, but the last time when I tried it, the 1st domain worked and after the 2nd one, nothing worked anymore. So I didn't try it again after someone tells me what to try. Following the thread: Firefox 3.x will not print I tried to create a pipe to kprinter. I found this in YaST, printer, connexion wizard, pipe. In used /opt/kde3/bin/kprinter. [opensuse] OS 11.0 - Firefox 3.x will not print

[I posted this more than 48 hours ago on the SUSE Usenet groups and Mozilla's Firefox support group, all with no responses other than suggesting to ask elsewhere. :-( ] Firefox 2.0.0.20 from Mozilla.org, SeaMonkey 1.1.17, Konqueror & Opera all print http://fm.no-ip.com/auth/Font/fonts-ptdemo.html as expected or nearly so. Firefox 3.5.2 from Mozilla.org and Firefox 3.0.11 from 11.0 light up the printer's busy and form feed lights for a time, but the printer never prints anything. When I check KJobViewer after the print lights go out, there's nothing there. The printer dialogs for the others all permit me to choose the postscript version of the printer instead of the CUPS version, while I can find no option to do the same in FF 3.x. My printer is a Postscript LaserJet 4M connected via IP address only. [opensuse] Folder view widget moving always to the center of the screen

I have installed KDE4.3.1 on openSUSE 11.1 and I use Folder view widget to display several shortcuts. I have placed this widget to the top left of my screen, however when starting my PC the widget is always placed at the center of the screen. I have checked that the widgets are locked. [opensuse] Cannot Print from Okular

Hi all, I'm using the latest and greatest KDE 4.3.1 on Opensuse 11.0. I'm unable to print from Okular though...other Qt/KDE apps like Kmail, Opera etc are all fine. I've updated a bugzilla report at :- https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=384674. I believe that this is a problem with Opensuse (or maybe I'm doing something wrong??) as Mandriva's KDE 4.3.1 works flawlessly with Okular. The one difference being that Opensuse uses YaST to configure the printer and Mandriva uses RH's system-config-printer. Could this be the cause? I'd really appreciate some help!
