[opensuse] How to run my webcam?

Hi. I tried to run my ewbcam... [opensuse] NTP client in openSUSE 11.1

The new "NTP configuration" tool in yast seems to be quite unintuitive, because I don't find any way to select an NTP server to synchronize the local clock. [opensuse] reading data file from cd/dvd with offset

Hello list members: Is there a way to read a data CD with a given offset? I mean, when I copy a file from the CD I want to set the beginning of the read before or after the point which is specified as the starting point in the CD's TOC. [opensuse] navigating in gnome/gtk open files windows

Hello: Kde open/save windows have an address bar from where I can copy full paths of file locations and paste them into other applications (console, krusader, konqueror etc). This makes very easy the navigation to the same place (in other applications) where I saved a given file. In gnome/gtk type open/save windows' location bar only shows the file name, not the full path. Is there a way to make it show the full path, so that I could copy/paste it? The first hurdle I've reached is that the 11.1 (x86) installer doesn't see the virtualized SCSI disk, though to the best of my ability to tell (after several attempts to re-configure it in VMware just to make sure it was right and choice of a couple of different SCSI IDs), the hard drive configuration for the virtual machine is correct. If it's a useful clue, before I reordered the VMware BIOS boot priority, I got a "GRUB error" screen when it tried to boot from the hard drive, which makes me think that the virtual machine _does_ have that virtual disk configured and accessible. I'm running what is now a kind of old VMware Workstation (5.5.1). I'd actually purchased a license upgrade to 6.0 and since then 6.5 has been released as a free upgrade for 6.0 license holders. I'm preparing to install 6.5.1, now. If anyone has any information about why the openSUSE 11.1 installer didn't see the virtualized physical SCSI drive under 5.5.1 and whether 6.5.1 will fix that or any other (possibly) pertinent information, I'd love to hear it. > Boot the install DVD in that VM. [opensuse] Firefox Plugins

About half the time, I'll go to some site and notice a yellow bar across the top of the web page window - "additional plugins are needed..." At first I was trying to figure out what I was missing, then I realized Flash wasn't loaded. I go to about:plugins and have nothing. I close Firefox (3.0.4 / KDE 3.5x / openSUSE 10.3) and restart. My plugins return. What gives? [opensuse] Installer hangs if I don't set vga=0 at grub

Hi, with every single version of openSuse I tried (10.3, 11.0 and 11.1) if I don't set vga=0 at the grub prompt the installer hangs with a black screen. What's wrong?
