Hi! Anyone is using MythTV? I would really appreciate if you share your info - which video capture/TV cards you are using? Does it supports HD, simultaneus capture from several TV channels. Have you installed remote control for MythTV? I had to remove the SLES 11 ISOs from my site because the bandwidth bill has trippled in the past month since they have been posted. So now I am only providing the SLED 11 beta for download, but have provided instructions on how do obtain the downloads directly from Novell. Sorry for the inconvenience. [opensuse] OpenOffice.org versions

My install of OpenSuse 11.0 appears to be usinr 2.4.0.14.1, not even 2.4.1 I was hoping to find an update to 3.0 in the repositories, but no such luck. [opensuse] Synergy packages for 11.0?

Hi listmates. I have been using Synergy on 10.3 to share my mouse/keyboard between my desktop and laptop machine. The other night I added my work laptop to the mix and had 3 machines, side by side, all using the same mouse and keyboard (seamlessly) - 2 machines running openSUSE 10.3 and one running XP Pro. All worked fine until I rebooted the work laptop into openSUSE 11.0 and then I realised I hadn't installed Synergy on the 11.0 partition. OK, I thought - simple fix - "zypper in synergy" - or so I thought. Zypper reported, "no resolvables found". :-( Installing directly from the rpm failed due to a dependency on an older version of libc++ than that installed on 11.0. Are there any packages for Synergy on 11.0 yet? Should I be filing a bugzilla request for this? [opensuse] What features is KDE4 missing when compared to KDE3?

There's been numerous discussion over the last few months about how good or bad KDE4 is and how much is missing from KDE4 when compared to KDE3. I suggested that we create a wiki page so that we can have a central list of stuff and so that we can "cross" them off as they are fixed. Dotan Cohen has graciuosly offered to put together a page, so in the interests of improving the openSUSE distro, I am asking everyone to focus their replies to this thread on what is considered missing from KDE4. Please list the feature and the version of KDE4 you are running. If you are not sure, the state that. Some have not added the build service and don't have the newest updated version of KDE4, so everyone please keep that in mind. Also, let's please try to keep this on topic. This isn't a thread to bash KDE4(no matter how much I or others don't care for it). It's hopefully a way to get the functionallity that some feel is missing put into KDE4. Hello SuSe people, Really strange. Every time I reboot my computrer it loses 4 hours exactly. (I shut down every night and restart the folowing day) I can set the time exactly using an NTP server Running 10.3 64 bit and KDE3. To test this, tonight wiith the exact time correct. I shut down and rebooted 3 times. Each time I rebooted it lost exactly 4 hours. A total of 12 hours. First time, 4 hours, Second time an additional 4 hours or eight hours total. Third time an additional 4 hours or a total of 12 hours. After every corrrective reset I do an hwclock --systohc Anyone, any ideas on what could be happening here? [opensuse] Sharing a Printer with a Windows Machine

OK... I know this is probably a loaded question but.... I just set up a wireless network in my home. My openSUSE 11.0 box is wired into my wireless router. My wife's laptop is connecting wirelessly into the network. Her laptop runs Vista. Our printer is an HP PSC 2210. It is connected to the openSUSE machine. Unfortunately, there is no way to wire it to the router. So, what is the best (I guess I really mean, *easiest*) way for me to share the printer with her laptop? [opensuse] WLAN on battery

Hi, When I power on IBM ThinkPad R52 with AC power connected WLAN is always activated. But when I power on notebook only with battery, WLAN is never activated and I can't activate it on any software way I tried. It is not up to some BIOS option because Windows on the same machine always activate WLAN, with or without AC power. I suppose that is up to kernel power management control during boot, but I don't know where to set up to get WLAN always automaticaly activated (or, at least, to be able to manualy activate).
