[opensuse] Issues with Emulex 9002 driver compile in 10.2

I have an Emulex 9002 fibre channel HBA I am trying to get working under Opensuse 10.2. The driver RPM provided by Emulex is actually a source RPM, and there is a script that compiles the driver. [opensuse] zypper errors...

Anyone with ideas on getting this when running zypper -up on a 10.2 box? [S2:0][package]glibc-2.5-34.5.i686 Subprocess failed. Error: RPM failed: (with nodeps+force)Invalid object (A)bort, (R)etry, (I)gnore? [opensuse] Xorg locks machine hard in runlevel 3

Boot in runlevel 3. As normal user 'startx' and it works first time. Logout, back to CLI and 'startx' again lock system hard. Only power switch works. It happens with 2 different nvidia drivers, latest NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-100.14.19-pkg2.run and NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-1.0-9762-pkg2.run compiled against last kernel 2.6.22.9-0.4-default. In runlevel 5 it logs out and restarts driver without problems, at least once :-) I guess that 'sax2' problems to configure card (FX 5200), that also locks system hard if I click 'Test' button, have common source. User permissions are not, as SaX2 is run by root. [opensuse] VPN Connection Manager

Hello, I installed NetworkManager-openvpn, NetworkManager-openvpn-gnome, and openvpn on SuSE 10.3 but when I try to open the VPN connection manager by going through my Gnome menu (Applications -> Internet -> Administration -> VPN Connection Manager (OpenVPN)) nothing comes up and I do not get anything in my /var/log/messages area. I am running this as a normal user. How do I get this to work? What am I doing wrong? [opensuse] 10.2 upgrade breaks Authentification service

I upgraded my 10.1RC1 system to 10.2 today and now I cannot log in at all (except in singleuser). After login prompt with correct password, I now get the message: "Authentification service cannot retrieve authentification info". kerberos was running on 10.1 and I can see it is still started. I had to tell SAX to use the i810 driver instead of the intel driver while in init 3 (sax2 -r -m 0=i810). Unfortunately, I lost my 3d while doing it. [opensuse] Another Accessibility Question

Thanks again to all who responded regarding the visual accessibility question. I have another question. In addition to being visually-impaired, I am also hearing-impaired. :-) In Macintosh OSX, they have a feature for hearing impaired users where the screen lightly flickers whenever there are alerts or events, such as incoming IM, email, etc. Is there anything similar to that for Gnome? [opensuse] Evolution Netiquette Question

In an effort to stay in line with the rules of the road here, I have a question about Evolution. If I do a reply to a posting, obviously, it will only reply to the sender. However, if I reply all, then it replies to the original poster and CC's the list. I've noticed that when others do that, I get a double email from them. I'm sure I'm doing the same to others. I'm using Evolution/iMAP into this list.
