[opensuse] Get rid of zen-updater icon from systray

Hi All, I've been googling for a couple of hours now and can't find any references for permanently removing the zen-updater icon from the system tray short of erasing the rpm. I have tried to save the current session with zen-updater removed from the session startup programs and the current programs in the Session dialog, too. When I start gnome, it always uses the default session. I have tried saving the session by giving it a name, but it doesn't show in the gnome session chooser at the login screen. Any clues? file associations at the CLI level?

All, I've just had a Windows users/programmer ask me a question that's new to me. Apparently in Windows if you have a command prompt the file extension associations work. Thus if you have a .html file in the current directory, you can just type the name of the file and hit return. The command interpreter figures out there is an application associated with and launches the associated file. In this case an Internet Browser gets launched. In linux I know files can start with #!/bin/sh etc. and cause various interpreters to be launched. Is there a way to cause an html file to auto launch a browser. And if so is there a way to do it if you don't know the full path of the browser. ie. we just want to say, shell launch default Internet Browser. [opensuse] hp printer problem

My hp c3180 suddenly will not auto recognise photo quality paper. I've tried all types. It attempts the recognition but flashes the paper out warning light. Normal paper works fine. Google and linuxprinting.org drew a blank. Can anyone help? [opensuse] xmms little but annoying problem

Hi List, I usually left xmms open on one of my desktops and want it to come each time I boot into system. It used to work, but now every time I boot, xmms is on my both screens and I have to do manually RightClick -> To Desktop -> Desktop 1. That is really killing, and after that when I reboot to system it is again on both desktops. It used to work as I wish, don't know what made it to change it's mind. Is there any way to get it back? [opensuse] Ktorrent - am I doing it wrong?

With a name like "Torrent" I thought this was going to be fast, but I notice I'm not the only one to find that it is relatively slow ("dribble" springs to mind :). Another new user mentioned that it took 12 hours to download 1/2GB, I'm finding it faster than that, more like 1/2GB/hour, but that's still way slower than FTP to most of the good mirrors (I get between 2 and 8MBits on my cable connection depending on other users). Is it meant to be that slow, or am I doing it wrong? Is this "punishment" for being a new user (in 9.3 the torrent stuff didn't seem to be integrated with the browser, and I never managed to get it to work)? Will I find that as I use it more and offer more "stuff" for upload it gets faster? I can see that the whole peer-to-peer thing reduces load on those poor overworked mirrors, and that's a good thing, and if slow becomes socially necessary, I'm all for it. Similarly, if I can "earn" more download speed by helping others, then that's clearly enlightened self-interest at work, and I'm all for that too! Comments? [opensuse] Network install/upgrades?

Back in the mists of time, I have vague recall of there being a way to do installs and upgrades across the network. Does this still work? Are there any READMEs, howtos web pages you can point me to? I'd really like to be able to do this without booting from a CD if at all possible. I don't mind rebooting after, but...
