[SLE] Battery Monitor not working properly

Hello, the discussion in linux-club.de is closed by the admins. So far you could say: 1. They dont care what we do, wether positive nor negative. They dont mind if there is another forum. The dont get angry at us, but they wont bother to change there. 2. Linux-Club is working well, so they will be glad to be the official forum, but on the other hand wont care if they are not. Most / Many of them thought we wanted to "rob" their mods or to do advertising for our forum. I hope I cleared that. On Administrator said we should have done all of this by way of moenk aka Eberhard. To discuss this in the "open" forum and not just inside the mods would have been wrong. I dont know if this would have been better, but if you want you can blame Henne for opening the thread and me for discussing so they closed it ;-) SUMMARY: None. OJ P.S. Clamav?

Tried to install the Clamav by the YAST. in theory this driver support my card. :( do you know which one use SUSE 9.3?? in Suse 9.3 is working ok.But in Suse 10 i have problems with Rivafb and driver .... :( thanks a lot. Suse 10 pesky bootsplash won't die

Hello, After disabling the Splash in System Services (Runlevel) and setting /etc/sysconfig Editor +System, +Boot, +THEME (BLANK), and +SPLASH (No), I still get the Suse 10/KDE bootsplash for the first 30 seconds of bootup. How can I completely remove the bootsplash from appearing during bootup? Many thanks in advance. James

Suddenly, No Sound - 2nd Try

I posted the description below here three or four days ago of a problem I encountered. So far I've found no help. Is reinstalling the system the only thing to do to correct the problem? If there is someplace else I could go to seek help please direct me. --------------------original post------------------------- I'm running 10.0 on an HP Media Center PC 873N containing an SB Audigy board. Sound has been fine from initial installation a few months ago until suddenly there was no sound a couple of days ago. Reboot, no change. Reboot into XP and the sound is fine. Reboot into Linux, no sound. I went into YaST->Hardware->Sound and the SB Audigy shows up as properly configured. I removed the SB Audigy configuration and then tried to set it up again. I got an error message saying that the module snd-emu10k1 cannot be loaded. Checking /lib/modules shows snd-emu10k1.ko, snd-emu10k1-synth.ko and snd-emu10k1x.ko How do I procede from here to correct the problem? -- Marshall Lake -- mlake(a)mlake.net -- http://mlake.net
