Problem using xCHM

Is anyone using the xCHM build 0.9.8 with any success? I have been using xCHM 0.9.7 for a while now and it works great. I updated to the 0.9.8 build provided by Guru ( http://linux01.gwdg.de/~pbleser/index.php ) and it stops working - it starts up fine, but when I try to load any CHM I just get a handy dandy blank page. I've reverted back to 0.9.7... Just wondering if anyone else is using 0.9.8 with any success... C.

One pearl of wisdom you might want to consider: Check the version of Linux (undoubtably unstable) and the version of video drivers on the Knoppix. SuSE tends to go conservative with video drivers and code until some form of stability is seen. Knoppix is truly bleeding edge but when it works it works. Try it on a test laptop and sometimes it justs barfs all over the desktop. Then you gotta play with the LILO/GRUB switches at boot. Run Knoppix until you got your intel straight and then make your choice. I await until someone puts a CD/DVD version of OpenSuSE ala Knoppix to see how it fares. Happy hunting and dont forget to post your final settings. SUSE Linux 10.0 OSS Beta 1 released

Hello openSUSE world, All ISOs and FTP trees have been synced out. The ISOs do not contain sources, they are only part of the FTP tree inside the "inst-source" directory. Please note that the OSS edition of SUSE Linux 10.0 do only contain open source software. Therefore java and depending packages are missing atm. This does also include OpenOffice.org for now. We do definitively not want to lock out the open source Java community, so we decided to offer these with an extra YaST installation source on our server ("inst-source-java" directory). OpenOffice.org does live there also. This package repository can be added in the YaST "Installation Source" manager as additionally source. I tried Matrox quad mms pci cards but they don't work under x86-64 with multiple screens and Matrox don't care. The PCI nvidia ( XpertVision FX 5200 PCI ) ones I'm using now use dual screens happily. Portrait mode not being supported in twinview by the nvidia driver is my only grumble. Matt.

Hi, First of all: my congratulations to Novell's decision to open up the development process of SUSE Linux - one of the best distros of the world, but that had, for a long time, this drawback. I've just posted, at discussions of FAQ, a portuguese translation that I've done and I want to know how can I help in brazilian portuguese translation of opensuse.org <http://opensuse.org> website and in other translation works (packages, documentation, etc) and if these works will go upstream to package creators.
