SuSE 9.2, Knode - can't empty sent folder

I'm running SuSE 9.2 on two computers, and I've noticed that on both of them, I can't empty the send folder in Knode. However, I can delete individual messages. Has anyone else noticed this? tnx jk

Is there a fix to the broken python sre in 9.2 - or a newer version of python

Is there a fix coming to this Suse 9.2 python problem: http://tinyurl.com/4k3au And if the automatic update installs a fix, how can it be determined if the system is supposed to be ok? Or should one install a completely new version of python? Could that somehow harm the system? Should the old version be kept on pc just to be sure -- and how? It is very difficult for a newbie to try to learn using Linux, Python, UTF-8 etc, if you're never sure whether problems with, say, UNICODE, come from one's own mistakes or if they are due to a system that is belly up to begin with, because of a bug. /DWM

I am running 2.6.8-24.11-default on my 9.2 laptop. This is a rather old version, but I can not find where Novell hides the latests versions. Can someone point this old fart where to find a newer version for Suse? Harry G

What's this error mean?

Hey gang, I'm messing with camstream again now that it's being worked on again, and had to install an old verion of qt (qt-2.3.2 to be exact) alongside my 9.2 stock qt3. The latest snapshot of camstream compiled just fine, no errors (that I saw), and during configure I told it where to find the old qt version to use. When I do ./camstream though, I get this error: ./camstream: error while loading shared libraries: libqt-mt.so.2: cannot open shared object file:No such file or directory Thing is, that file *is* there, right where it's supposed to be, it and two others similar to it (libqt-mt.so and libqt-mt.so.2.3) are linked to libqt-mt.so.2.3.2. Does anyone have any idea why this isn't working or something I need to do to get it to work? Thanks, John B.

Now that I've corrected the hardware, even though Yast has supposedly recognized the new hardware and reconfigured, I think maybe there are still remnants of the original configuration which cause the KB3 Gui to fail. If you or anyone knows which files or entries I can check I think that may be worth a try. In the mean time, I've got another clean box that needs to have an OS installed, (I'm trying to decide between SuSe 9.2 and Fedora Core3) If the burner works on the clean install, I may back up my data and just wipe the whole drive and start again. Hi, Is anyone using FreeNX on Suse Linux Standard Server 8? If so, any pointers? Didn't want to "reinvent the wheel" if someone has already figured it out. (I see Suse Linux Professional 9.2 has packages already included.) Suse 9.2 - drbd - aktueller SMP Kernel -Problem

Hallo, der aktuelle SMP-Kernel (Suse Yast Autoupdate) der Suse 9.2 scheint sich nicht mehr mit drbd zu vertragen. Wenigestens connecten die Maschinen nach einem Upgrade nicht mehr (/proc/drbd) Gibt es noch jemand mit demselben Problem? Andreas
