php mysql suse 9.2

I am trying to install/use an application that access mysql using apache2/php/pear. SuSE 9.2. When php/pear try to access mysql, only a line with command mysql://asteriskuser:xxxxx@localhost/asterisk is displayed on a blank screen on the browser as a result. It seems to me that a link between apache2/php and mysql is missing. Any hint?

Hello, I've searched into the list and it seems nobody already talked about this. Klamav is a very good antivirus tool for your Linux box. It's even scanning file directly "on access" It also does the configuration of kmail automatically to scan email viruses when they come to your kmail inbox ! This is a very good app in my opinion. It only lacks a scanning scheduler. Here it is : http://ftp.mathematik.uni-bielefeld.de/pub/suse/apt/SuSE/9.2-i386/RPMS.suse… After install it will be stored in the "Utilities" folder of the menu K. USB drive access light?

Hi: I have a Sandisk Cruizer Micro USB flash drive. The blue access light remains on all the time when plugged in. It has negative blinks (turns off for brief moments) when the drive is accessed. But it would make more sense to be off when inactive, and on when being accessed. As it is, it is difficult to know when it is safe to remove the device after writing to it. Are their any tips for tinkering with the light control on these drives? Thanks. -- ____________________________________ Christopher R. Windows to Linux

I am looking for a book that someone could recommend, and has used, that would help with a migration from a Windows server platform to linux. Preferably Suse if possible. I have seen several books (ie "Window to Linux" etc...) that cover the topic but would like to get some feed back from those currently taking on this task or have completed this task. Thanks,

Suse 9.2 on ASUS K8V 64-bit motherboard & No Mouse cursor

Just installed Suse 9.2 on above board, everything works except the mouse cursor. I move the mouse around and see the icons highlight on the desktop, but there is no mouse cursor. Mouse portion of XF86Config is below. Section "InputDevice" Driver "mouse" Identifier "Mouse[1]" Option "Buttons" "5" Option "Device" "/dev/input/mice" Option "Name" "ImPS/2 Generic Wheel Mouse" Option "Protocol" "explorerps/2" Option "Vendor" "Sysp" Option "ZAxisMapping" "4 5" EndSection This is the same as on my old dell dimension. Any ideas why just the cursor does not show up? Art

Why not use curl instead ? Recent versions should handle huge files with no problem. reverse vnc

I have one more question... since you guys were so responsive with my pdf problem :) Does anyone know of a solution (linux based preferred, others considered) to push my desktop to a waiting remote PC? Kind of like a "reverse vnc", where the other side doesn't have to request my display, but rather I just give it to him? The particular application I'm thinking of is a small projector setup, where the box connected to the projector is connected to the network, and I can come in, and with this "reverse vnc" process, just push my laptop display to the projector PC to get my screen on the projection screen, rather than having to connect to my laptop from the projector's pc, then go back to my laptop and start my presentation... Or you want to show a non-techie friend something that you're doing, and instead of having him punch in through your firewall to vnc and watch, you can just punch out to him, and export your screen? The other party doesn't have to have control of my box, just see the screen... anything out there like this ya'll can point me to? Thanks.
