How To Mount SanDisk CF Card Reader under Suse 8.0?

A friend/neighbor is here with his laptop and trying get SuSE 8.0 to access the CF card in his USB SanDisk reader. Anyone done this successfully? If so, could you provide some paint-by-numbers instructions, please? (Tried a Google search to no avail.) Thanks! doc -- "And God said, let there be light ... "

[OT] cheap web hosting

Does anyone have recommendations for cheap, reliable web hosting? Preferably one with ssh access. There are about a million web hosting firms out there, hard to figure out who is good and who is not. having problems with Yast2 & qt

When I try to get Yast2 to run on kde3 all I am getting is the ncurses version..so I modified the yast script to find out what was wrong and I'm getting 3 errors, cannot execute command libqt.so.3 and /usr/lib/qt3/plugins/imageformats/libqjpeg.so: Feature JPEG already defined in //usr/lib/qt-3.0.4/plugins/imageformats/libjpeg.so /usr/lib/qt3/plugins/imageformats/libmng.so: Feature MNG already defined in //usr/lib/qt-3.0.4/plugins/imageformats/libmng.so I copied the libqt.so.3 to the YaST2/plugin directory and I thought it was fixed, but when I relogged in--no go mike

Insmod 3c59x & DHCP loading

When ever I reboot my Suse 7.2 laptop I always have to do a "insmod 3c59x" then I have then do a "rcdhclient restart eth0" Then I'll get an IP address assigned for the nic. Apart from build the driver into the kernel is there another way to get these operations automatically loaded on boot up. Luck is my game ;-) Linux is my aim :) Dre ..

Sure MS may be bas***ds, they may be anti-competitive practices and their licencing may suck but the simple fact is that Windows OS's are popular, highly competent and improve with every release! Sure I accept that MS practices may have improved their standing in the OS stakes but that doesn't (cannot) take away the fact that it is MS & Windows that made home computing so popular with ordinary people! I appreciate it was probably posted in humour but this kind of statement just irritates those of us who try to keep an open mind about such things and drives potential Linux users away :-) James C.
