HI all.... I'm still working on getting my darling wife's dos machine connected to my Linux system. Anyway I've got SSHDOS working on her system expect for one problem that's driving me batty. I can give this command ( her system): sshdos -c blowfish -t x-colorterm emil 192.168.17.44 and it works. I have a standard SuSe7.3 on my computer. I have Krellm which shows my temperatures etc nicely and I am working on an UPS connection. My Kmail is requested to contact my IPS every three minutes when I am on the phone. Those are activities from which I thought that they could produce a beep tone. After running top I found that there was no direct connection between the running programs and the beep tone. At least not visible. How could I find out what causes the beep apart from killing every running program one by one? Is there some place where (error) messages are stored?

XFree86 4.2.0 and Greek support

Hi, I try to setup Xfree to write Greek characters but when i try to write i get Russian characters only. I have SuSE 7.3 , XFree86 v4.2.0 , KDE v2.2.2 . I have also install the Greek fonts. My XF86Config entry for the keyboard is: Section "InputDevice" Identifier "Keyboard[0]" Driver "keyboard" Option "Protocol" "Standard" Option "XkbRules" "xfree86" Option "XkbModel" "microsoftpro" Option "XkbKeyCodes" "xfree86" Option "XkbLayout" "el" Option "XkbVariant" "basic" Option "XkbOptions" "grp:ctrl_shift_toggle" EndSection When i use an external program "grkbd" i can write Greek but i like to use the default from XFree. Tim, Thanks for the advice. I preshrunk and sized all the partitions using Partition Commander already, as winXP was on the entire 20G drive. SO now, I'll just use SusE to do the other 4 partitions. i got my dsl running; pretty easy to configure however i am having some problems 1) when using postfix mail is timeout 2) if a ifconfig eth0 down then when ifconfig eth0 up i have no conection and i need to reboot 3) what router you recommennd so i can install the dsl gateway 4) what would be the gw of the client? 5) when sending email i was getting an error pointing me here http://cr.yp.to/docs/smtplf.html 6) anyway to use postfix without relay_host?
