How do I use YOU to download and install Xfree86 4.0.2? When I try to use YAST2, I get to the patches but not to the directory where XFree is kept. Thanks dj tuchler

I know how to change the font display on the qctual webpages, easy enough. What I'm wondering is if theres anyway to change the actual browsers window fonts in the menus and status bar areas. Batch File not working

I'm trying to run a batch file in Linux (SuSE 7.1) but it doesn;t seem to be working properly. This file is a series of useradd commands which i generated in Excell on a Windows machine and saved as a text file. The problem is that I'm getting a list of "username not valid" errors while running the batch file in linux. When I try to enter the users one at a time it works well. Q1. Is useradd a problem (i.e. it doesn't work in batch files)? or Q2. Is the linefeed/carriage return used by MS as an end of line causing problems for Linux? If so which of the 2 characters are used in Linux files? Regards Mark P.S. Do a search on bootpart in google, there is a website that has bootpart, believe it is from a guy in France. I have tried it and and works quite well. Has good documentation, program is small. Hello all, I have SuSe linux 7.1 Professional and have php3 with it. Now I want to upgrade to php4. I had got a CDROM with the SuSe pack which had some updates. There was one rpm mod_php4.rpm. So, I did rpm -U mod_php4.rpm error: failed dependencies: libcurl.so.0 is needed by mod_php4-4.0.4pl1-33 libltdl.so.0 is needed by mod_php4-4.0.4pl1-33 libmcal.so is needed by mod_php4-4.0.4pl1-33 libmcrypt.so.4 is needed by mod_php4-4.0.4pl1-33 libsablot.so.0 is needed by mod_php4-4.0.4pl1-33 libxmlparse.so.1 is needed by mod_php4-4.0.4pl1-33 libxmltok.so.1 is needed by mod_php4-4.0.4pl1-33 mod_php conflicts with mod_php4-4.0.4pl1-33 mod_php4 conflicts with mod_php-3.0.17RC1-28 mod_php4 conflicts with mod_php-3.0.17RC1-28 What must I do to upgrade to php4? Ok, so how do you change the font size?

Well, I installed the Ximian Desktop. So far - Not bad. Graphics and speed are pretty nice, and to tell the truth my network through put is better than in KDE!?! The issue I'm having now is setting the font size in the desktop and application. Evolution's font takes a magnifying glass to read - especially true if you been staring at the screen all day and you eyes are tired. It does seem quite strange that, unlike other WM's, there seem to be no direct way to change font size or style that I can find (odd, very odd). I can use the "font selector" in the utility dir, but seems to have no effect (don't tell me I have to restart the WM - that would sound like someone elses default method - lets not go there). And a side note. There doesn't seem to be a "find" function in any of the program windows or apps. There is a help function, but if you want to "search" for a subject/keyword in a doc/help file - you have to manually scan it - again, not efficient or particularly easy on tired eyes. Anyway, Can someone clue me into how to change fonts (especially in evolution), Otherwise, I won't be able to put off seeing my optomitrist if this keeps up. TIA, Cheers. Curtis

ICS and networking help?

I am trying to get my network setup with suse, I just installed suse 7.3 pro and love it! I have a cable connection, the eth0 is connected to the cable modem, eth1 is going to a linksys switch, then from the switch to my winme box. The configuration is much different from where I came(mandrake) but I had this setup and working with mandrake so I know its just becasue I'm new to suse and havn't figured it out yet. Can anyone give me a hand?
