Hi everibody, i ' d like that the messages are sort out in two boxes: the second results be an "cc" for a secondary users (not the one fetch the mail). The rule don' t work, it put the message only in the first mailbox. Partitions

Hello everybody, I tried installing w2k a few days ago, and something, during installation something messed up my partition table. Nothing worked after, so, I used yast1 to make 3 logical partitions, and used yast2 to install suse. When I tried to use fdisk I saw that I did not have any logical partitions anymore? I don't exactly know the difference between the kinds of partitions. Should I care what kind of partitions yast2 made? thanks in advance, Jan-Willem

NVidia v1.0-1541 driver, devfs and SuSE v7.2

Hi Folks, Seeing how there is a lot relating to NVidia cards/drivers on the list at the moment: My system has an NVidia GForce 2 MX card. Getting this to work with SuSE 7.0 required a few tweaks to get it working just so. Upon installation of SuSE 7.2 card was detected correctly and everything worked out of the box. I am now running a system based on SuSE 7.2 kernel 2.4.4-4GB with devfs filesystem. Upon upgrade of NVidia drivers to those available from NVidia site (driver version: v1.0-1541) X failed to start as the driver would not load. After some reconfiguration cos of use of devfs, drivers worked fine. If devfs was not mounted, then these drivers worked out of the box. Frame rate/sec for gears went from 150 to 1500. If anyone is interested in the config changes needed to get these new NVidia drivers working with a mounted devfs just let me know. Kind regards, Simon

Hi there, Well some additional information would be useful: What is your graphics card? What Suse distribution are you using? What kernel are you using? What error messages (if any) are you getting? Are any messages appearing in any logs and if so what are they? (ie See /var/log ) Just what is the exact version of the NVidia drivers you are trying to get working? To give you hope: I have recently upgraded to the NVidia drivers v1.0-1541 for my GForce2MX card, running a kernel based on the SuSE 7.2 2.4.4-4GB kernel. Gears performance went from around 150 frames/sec to 1500! Yes/No It is in my XF86config file, but running NvAgp=2 or 3 causes a system lockup at the login screen. 3. Yes, in kernel, supposedly loaded, but does not show up when you issue the lsmod commmand in a console. If you do a ismod agpgart command, the agpgart.0 module shows up, but does not seem to activate the agp slot as "gears" doesn't show any increase in speed. (presently about 400 fps with my card) Plus if you do a 3Ddiag, shows no agp or the lsmod, shows agpgart.0 (unused). Hints, advice, suggestions? 7.2 upg broke SO and vmware fonts

Hi, Can anyone help me, I have upgraded a 7.1 installation to 7.2 and now StarOffice and vmware don't display the fonts correctly. I thought it was because the upgrade turned off xfstt but I started it and it is still the same. When either program is started, the buttons and menus just show placeholders (a diamond with a ? in it) instead of the correct text. Has anyone come across this problem before and what fixed it? Postfix domain masquerading

Hi. I'm in the middle of an attempted conversion from sendmail to postfix, and I've come across one problem. The machine I'm setting up is the smtp/imap for a local network, *.foonet. This domain is not a registered 'net domain, so that if I screw up the DNS setup, it doesn't mess up the entire DNS database... However, the machine is also the internet gateway for the network, using IP masquerading. The machine appears on the internet as foo.<isp>.co.uk. I have also purchased a domain name, foo.org.uk for the network, and set up web and mail forwarding. Incoming mail arrives via the ISP addressed to <username>@foo.org.uk, or Firstname.Lastname(a)foo.org.uk, and should be processed as local mail. I've got this setup working correctly. Outgoing mail arrives addressed from <username>@<machinename>.foonet. This needs to be re-written as Firstname.Lastname(a)foo.org.uk. I've managed to get the LHS rewriting working correctly (username -> Firstname.Lastname), but I can't get the RHS rewriting to work. The manual suggests domain masquerading, but as far as I can see, this will only rewrite @machinename.foonet to @foonet. What I'm looking for is the equivalent to the sendmail.cf DM option. Anyone have any ideas?
