Howdy! Actually, there is such functionality already in YaST. If you go to "Package Information" on the same menu as "change/create configuration" you will be able to search for packages by name. the coolest feature is that you can even install the packages from the list that pops up so you don't have to exit out and go to the series etc... One thing you have to keep in mind is that Yast hast to "scan" your install media before it can search it. For some reason this isnt done automaticaly when you go into "Package Information" so the first thing you have to do is hit F10 (i think...) to scan the install media. sort of none SuSE problem

Sort of thinking about making a dual boot system. I use scsi drives. I was woundering if M$ could be installed on the second drive or so. My first drive has SuSE 7 on it and i don't want to buy another drive as for that chain. I just need windows for 3 programs at this time. Yes I know, it sucked so much that I decided to take action: http://volker.orcon.net.nz/soft/susegrep It's a bash script which 1) creates an index of your SuSE CDs (once), and 2) lets you search through it. With the 6-CD set the index is about 22MB big, not that much these days and IMHO well worth the disk space.
