[SLE] FTP proxy on Suse box running firewals ...

Hi all, I have a Redhat 6.2 intranet server/router which masquerades my 192.168.1.x network as 192.168.32.254 to my SuSe 6.4 firewall/ISDN TA gateway. On the Redhat I just have a simple MASQ rule in my forward chain. I use firewals on my suSE box to setup masquerading and packet filtering. PMfirewall gave me nothing but trouble. FW_ALLOW_ICOMING_HIGHPORTS_TCP is set to 'yes' (in firewals config) ip_masq_ftp is loaded on both the Linux machines . The Setup works great for everything *except* FTP uploads ( to my Hosting Company )..I can't upload to my site either from the Win98s or the Linux boxes. I have tried both the Active & PASV modes.To make sure that firewals wasn't the problem, i disabled it and added just the MASQ rule to the forward cahin, but couldn't get FTP to work. Is their a patch for ip_masq_ftp available ? Alternatively , can i use socks or some other proxy on my SuSe box ( together with firewals ) ,, *just* for FTP ? While going through the Support database , I came across some setting called AllowMagicUser .. which proxy server does this refer to ? PS I am desperate ! [SLE] none not mounting

When I start up on my Vaio notebook, I get the error message: none already mounted or /dev/pts busy What does this mean? For that matter what is 'none'? What is '/dev/pts'? And how do I fix it? [SLE] Diald in Suse 6.4

I've got A Suse 6.4 machine. I'm trying to install diald in this machine. I did it before in Linux Slackware 3.4, kernel 2.0.30. The problem is the files in Slackware are different from the files in Suse. I'm looking for the file rc.inet1, wich was in /etc/rc.d directory. I know Suse keep the init files in /sbin/init.d/ but I don't know wich is that file (rc.inet1) in it. Any suggestions? I have sound running but its not through OSS, I have used alsa.. I have cat'd a .wav file to /dev/dsp and its ok.. ls -l /dev/dsp is crw-rw-rw- 1 root audio 14, 3 Mar 24 21:57 /dev/dsp I have tried running it in a console and it does bring up the game but the picture is unviewable.. [SLE] SuSEconfig and KDE Desktop icons

After adding an application, xcdroast for example, to the desktop and then changing the icon in it's .kdelnk file all is fine until SuSEconfig gets executed again. After SuSEconfig runs the icon is changed back to what ever it was before I changed it. I'm running a vanilla 6.4 and a 6.4 with Xfree4.0. The same thing happens on bothe. How do I stop SuSEconfig from changing the .kdelnk files back to their default contents. It's not just the icons that get changed back. Any modification to these files gets reversed any time I run SuSEconfig.
